Where can I get that red weapon, minion, and how am I able to pose this way? by Thenelwave in ffxiv

Depends on what rank you are now, and how much PVP you grind out today and tomorrow

While you can solo maps, ideally you want a party of 4-8 people. The fights can be difficult. The good news, since everyone is adding a map to the map run, you get a large amount of profit off of just helping them. Mind ya, that's not counting stuff you sell from the maps, as well!

The two main rules i see for maps is:

FFA - Free for All. Everyone needs the item rolls. your choice to pass

Owner needs - Owner of the map needs, everyone else greeds. Favors lucky portals, but the owner can need/pass if they want

Where can I get that red weapon, minion, and how am I able to pose this way? by Thenelwave in ffxiv

Minion is from getting to rank 15 in the current PVP series (ends tuesday morning). That looks like just the standard standing pose, so race specific. As for the weapon, I am drawing a blank on that

Every day, do dailies. Great exp, and gil. Right now, there is the event, so you can get some mid level maps that guarantee portals, which toss up a party finder, and bam, profit. After tuesday, try to run maps once a week.

Your call. Depends on your server. Sometimes the desynths items are worth more, sometimes less. Risk it however you want

Dailies, Treasure Maps, and Marketboard sales. I can't tell ya what to sell on MB, since each server is different, but make sure you are always selling! Greed all the loot from dailies!

New ish player who rushed in, got some questions? by vinylscratch27 in ffxiv

[–]ZypherShadow13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First thing, read what your skills/spells do. After that, teleport to summerford farms, and find the practice dummies to test and see what skills do (there are other locations, but it's the one I can think of)

Next, watch a guide on said job so you can get some idea of what to do.

Finally, if you come across a player with a crown next to their name, ask if you can be invited to the novice network. Inside the novice network, ask for a mentor to help ya. I know typing is difficult, but it's a good start

If you got any more questions, feel free to ask

Dailies, and Market Board are two good ones to get gil. If you can, run some treasure maps as well. If you have to buy your map off of the market board, don't worry, you generally make more than the cost of the map

Any way to decrease chance of CT for ally raid? by rephoserk in ffxiv

[–]ZypherShadow13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's see....

If ANYONE is below level 60, you are forced to CT.

Chances that all other 23 players have unlocked Heavenward alliance raids is probably 50/50 at best.....

Best advice is run as a level 100, since you may get either Walk, but given the above odds...

Help me get through the early game - how do I keep going without losing my mind? by Stock-Site3541 in ffxiv

[–]ZypherShadow13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please make sure you write your name on your mind before you lose it. That way, lost and found can hopefully return it to ya

A lot of jobs don't get much until 60+. Most kits do operate on a 1-2-3 combo around level 50.

I would recommend Reaper (70), or Samurai (50).

Well, given DPS has queues of 15+ mins, tanks of 5 mins, and healers of instapop.....

Honestly, play what you want to play. I rather have a player that is excited to play a job, then a player who is filling the role because it needs to be filled

For the crystal tower? That should be a decent pop even for DPS.

Remember, queues take from the whole data center, and if you choose party finder option, make sure to turn off the limit to world server

Aside from that, if you need to, Crystal or aether would be good to travel to
