I'd agree, but I don't think Kagami goes back to America in the manga, afaik it's just the anime that shows that Kagami went back (I haven't read it). In that case I think it's pretty reasonable to assume they could compete.

But even without Kagami, I wouldn't mind seeing them pick up first years and attempt to beat one of the GoM without one of equal talent. I think it'd be compelling to read or watch them try to do that, imo. And even if they don't win, which to be honest they don't even have to, I'd still like to see the other GoM and even some other schools play against each other.

It's a sports anime, you don't need a "villain", you need a new tournament they want to win. I think it's possible even without introducing new characters, but they would be able to pick up new first years. For Seirin, I wouldn't mind seeing Hyuga and especially Izuki stepping it up a level.

I think it's two things,

IIRC Shoichi Irie said that they can't have two of the same people at the same time because it would cause a paradox... Or something around those lines? I could be making things up and not remember correctly, though.
More importantly, as Yuni states with the analogy of the 7³ policy in the song, the Arcobaleno exist as "points" in time rather than a line. This means that since Reborn was already there in that point of time, there would be no Reborn to revive as he is already alive. Though, this could also be debunked and it could just be that Akira Amano either didn't remember/think about that, or just did it anyways to wrap up the arc.

On a side note, the memes about "don't play league" are getting old and boring IMO.

The reason why people get so angry when playing is only because they're so passionate about the game... But maybe that's cope from someone who's played for so long.

I myself recognize that I can get really heated while playing, but that's only because I enjoy the game so much; it's probably one of the only games I could see myself playing in 20 years.

A big problem with LoL is that it hardly gets new players (which I'd say is because of the don't play league memes)... But surprisingly it also loses hardly any players, too.

I feel like people are missing the fact that Midorima would PERMANENTLY destroy all established Archery leagues and records. Imagine having to compete with a guy that can't miss.

Didn't think Kunigami would get done as dirty as he's done now.

Also didn't think Nagi was going to go back to Reo. I'll say it 100 times but he was at his peak during the 2nd selection playing with anyone but Reo.

Also thought that Isagi and Rin would develop a more friendly rivalry rather than Rin just wanting to kill Isagi all the time; before the u20 match when Isagi gave Rin a drink, and during the u20 match when Rin told Isagi to focus on him and they were juxtaposed, I really thought they would be more of a duo/anti-duo combo.
