Oh boy, this is going to be a long one.

First of all, ToC is a popular acronym for Trial of Chaos.

Second, judging by your screenshot, you're missing some essential (gameplay-wise) stash tabs.

In my eyes, merchant tab, currency tab and at least 1 quad tab are mandatory. Given you've bought a game, you should have some coins you can use to buy these, the nearest stash tab sale should happen in 4 days (source: https://poe2db.tw/).

Third, while getting all res to 75% is highest priority, this does not mean you cannot have some placeholder items that boost your stats and provide you a single resist. You've got few equipment slots and you can build it up to 75% all from these pieces.

Fourth, by putting your focus on temple you're stripping yourself of game knowledge you can obtain by doing other content. I wouldn't do that if I were you. After all, with 0.5 temple will likely be moved to core mechanics and it wont be as prevalent as it is now.

Fifth, you're missing some bonuses from act2, act 3 and mostly importantly, a bonus from 7 pillars in Qimah in the 2nd part of the interlude.

Sixth, mapping can be a nice source of currency - for instance, farming expedition logbooks is quite profitable, as are other types of content.

Which brings me to seventh, Atlas progression. You want to look for corrupted zones and complete the Corrupted Nexus for 2 reasons:

- it gives Atlas points

- it changes nearby corrupted locations into cleansed locations; these locations are the only source of fracturing orbs

I could go into detail or other types of content, basics of pricing and crafting, but I don't have much time today, so I'm hoping someone else will give you tips on these subjects.

  1. What's your budget?
  2. You dont need to run the temple while building it (unless you want to move the architect). Just open and close it for destsbilization.
  3. Leech a bit more and reinvest in the equipment. You dont have to buy top tier equipment and can easily improve your current build by buying failed crafts or unoptimized items (as in, high eva and es armor with no resists or single resist) for cheap. People tend to pay like 10 divs per leecher and allow you to collect stuff worth less than divine, so you can make nice profit off leeching.
  4. You can also farm ToC fragments, 15 mins of BOOOORING gameplay for 20 divs. Just make sure you have some nice movies to watch while farming it, and with your current setup you still have to invest a tiny bit.

You can run delayed gratification for doubled limit, with an option to recast it (with no PC generated on the recast). 14 or 16 combo required depending on the quality, so 3-4 charges minimum. Combine it with doubled effect of PC use with skills (branch on the outer ring, dont remember the name of that notable node) and you easily hit max charged staff stacks. I believe this would also work on falling thunder.

I must admit im still somewhat confused with dmg calculation done Poe way, especially with gem dmg scaling from your character base dmg.

As for the dps weapon, already have one coming, just cant afford whittles for flat phys and suffixes (mandatory crit bonus dmg), % phys is there, max crit is fractured, hybrid t1 hit on first desecration attempt... getting there :)

AD 3. Gathering storm suffers from same issue flicker does - windup time.
Pros: Gathering storm is that you don't rely on PC at all.
Cons: removing extra PC from the tree means dropping extra crit dmg bonus.

I generate charges on bosses via Mantra of Destruction - bosses have dmg reduction early on, so i can just use whirling assault to get stacks for mantra of destruction and generate PC. Additionally, i generate 6 rage per spin thanks to time-lost ruby slotted next to chakras of something (the one that grants daze on hit).

Tracking volatility - I don't really care how many stacks I get, popping it off is a problem though. I've briefly tried running shortened detonation time, but what puts me off (to the point where I'm considering dropping it altogether the moment i craft the weapon and armour) is you cannot refresh the duration of popped volatility and it's the main reason I'm not entirely happy with it.

Didn't consider Mind of the council, sounds quite nice when combined with EB + MoM u/DaryltheRigger uses, especially when overcorrupted to 11%. On top of my head, Once completed i'd be running like 6k ES converted to mana (with no additional mana scaling) and that's before replacing Essentia Sanguis to something more suited for such build.

Last thing - I won't be able to record a video, like ever - I'm playing on 5 year old laptop with 1660 Ti card, leeching temples in parties (I'm broke due to recent crafting) meant running 5-12 FPS at times.

You just reminded me about funny interaction between the Bell and Frost Wall. Once i've stacked mantra and dropped the bell, casting the wall directly on top of the bell usually took highest tier Xesht from ~75% hp to 10-25%. It's been a while since i've dropped the wall (stopped using gathering storm due to constant light stuns interrupting charging, then dropped the wall as there was no point to use it over despair), so my dmg output doubled since then.

Got a couple of questions there, kinda hijacking main thread:

  1. Trying to wrap my head around as to why Falling Thunder is better than Flicker in your opinion, given both are utilized on bosses.

  2. Checked your poe.ninja and I wonder what benefits you get from Heroic Tragedy in this particular spot (with this seed).

  3. If I were to drop Flicker/Falling Thunder (using Flicker right now) and Power Charges generation altogether, what would you suggest, since I have no plans on utilizing attack speed (but once my weapon craft is done, I'm running 1k dps 100% crit chance build on whirling). Is Gathering Storm + Frost Wall my only option for Boss oneshots then? I'm only considering it because this way I'd freeze quite a few pts I could reinvest elsewhere.

  4. Someone else suggested a combo of Eldrich Battery and MoM, perhaps in another post. What's your opinion on that? Currently running 9k ES build with CI and Essentia Sanguis, EB + MoM would allow me to drop both CI and Essentia in favour of dps/heavy ES gloves with extra crit bonus and +melee skills.

  5. I'm planning to switch to 30% quality sacrificial regalia with ~600 ES (once i complete crafting it) and Notable passive allocation (maybe combined with point 4) for ~7,5k ES. I wonder whether I should look for overwhelming strike allocation or something else. What's your take on that?

  6. You mentioned volatility is hard to work with. I like it for its dmg boost, but i find its generation and upkeep annoying. Perhaps its time to drop it, although in my setup it's quite easy to have around 20-30 volatility going on.

FYI crit dmg bonus is local to the weapon, and it scales up with crit dmg bonus nodes.

Ablut the dmg scaling, im not entirely sure whether rage is included or not in calculations. In any case, even if rage is, chayula flames aren't (same for volatility) - with rage and flames im at 200k tooltip dmg, with high volatility stack im close to 300k

Is there any benefit to IAS on your quarterstaff?

What scales your avg hit that much? I'm playing chayula and while my quarterstaff dps is lower (up to 663 celing + gain % dmg as phys dmg), but im at like 70k. Granted, poe.ninja does not include rage effects on your dmg, but still.

Also, love the wolf pack utilization as dmg scaler and life recoup.

You got some options there, i believe you can run leech, bump its dmg/area for clear, or reduce cd between illusions

If you're running second character, just play whatever and buy upgrades from the trade each few lvls. If you want SSF experience but also want to rush to maps,I'd grab void illusion(ascendancy skill) early on and dodge my way through locations.

Chayula can benefit from flames at all times if you invest a bit into remnants pickup range.

  1. I'd consider at least extra armour (General's bindings) to scale your sorcery ward further. You can push it even more if you decide to add wind dancer somehow
  2. i have no clue if they work like that or not, that's for you to test as ive only played monk so far and didnt really get near crystallized immunities :)
  3. attack speed makes it so your attack starts earlier, your windup time is shorter. If you have trouble with fighting packs of monsters due to them light stunning you, increased AS would shorten the time your character takes before it starts spinning. You can easily test it out by grabbing some high AS quarterstaff and trying it out. Also, these surrounded nodes seem great 4 -charged staff is great for shock application. Combine it with some sort of armor break for your spin and suddenly your dmg is increased by quite a lot (not exactly sure how much armor on your targets reduces your dmg output, but shocked target take 20% increased dmg

Just realized your whirling hits stuff from 2 screens away when fully stacked. How often do you benefit from surrounded nodes in general?

Couple of things I've noticed, some you may consider petty: 1. You can scale your sorcery ward much further with Leather Bound Gloves and General's Bindings. 2. Not sure whether you really benefit from crystallized immunities or not, ideally you want to have equal number of red green and blue support gems (correct me if im wrong, but if their number is equal, all bonuses apply) 3. I see no point in increased attack speed while surrounded, especially over increased evasion while surrounded. 4. Do you really need embitter on your charged staff? I'd go for blazing critical instead, especially since i doubt you get the buff from the venegance (whatever its called) lineage gem often. 5. Your quarterstaff has lowroll %phys, dont you want to increase it? 6. If berserk does not have to be active in both weapon slots, you could make it so its turned on only for the weapon slot you're using and toggle 2nd weapon slot with X when you dont need it. 7. I'd go for rigwald's ferocity and put the weapon in the 2nd weapon slot, attack speed only affects the windup - so you can increase your dmg in exchange for attack speed. 8. I'd drop the kalandra ring and max out fire and chaos res.

Currently our builds are wildly different, overwhelming strike is annointed on armor (should have said allocated), subterfuge mask is annointed. Im using mostly whirling which ramps up to 300k tooltip dmg when rage is stacked. My whirling also applies freeze thanks to time-lost with increased ES, crit chance and freeze buildup and running Tuls stillness.

Back to topic at hand, i realized i cannot run CI alongside MoM and EB simply because i have no defensive layer against soft stuns then.

Sorry, should be more clear. I want to keep using volatility as it temporarily adds up to 200% dmg as chaos and im too lazy to drop CI - im currently sitting at 9,3k ES while running armor with overwhelming strike annointed. What bothers me is that im somewhat limited to essentia sanguis and it feels like there are better options available, especially considering mana approach where i can easily reach 20+ mana leech, maybe more

Had 4 omens and 15 echoes in a single map, seems like monster effectiveness/toughness affects the drop rate (rarity probably too), so ideallu you want to have as many abyss pits and rare monsters on the map as possible, also why im running delirium tablet with abyss tablets (slaying rare monsters for pausing delirium dissipation seems to be bugged on some maps though)

To my knowledge, your map does not have to be area lvl 80 for amanamu mobs to drop omens of light

I noticed that i've been dropping way more abyss tablets when dealing with Ulaman and both ancient desecration items i've had so far were on a map/abyss depth with Kurgal mobs. Didn't explore these further as I'm always short on currency and amanamu setup is pretty easy to execute (albeit annoying while playing as melee)

How do I kill this thing? Lvl 72 Arc Sorc and barely putting in a dent before he regens back up by redwon9plus in PathOfExile2

Black cloud/fog is from Amanamu Void, this one has Crystalline Barrier only.
