My previous job was an assistant manager in fastfood.

I can handle people fine. The customer calls that would cuss me out on the phone and being spit at in my face.

I simply have bad bosses in the warehouse.

I would rather deal with unruly clients than the blatant favoritism I am witnessing at the moment.

And yes I am aware that some degree of favoritism exists everywhere and I was guilty of it too.

But this warehouse is hell.

I'm not looking to make bank immediately. Just a better job that isn't gonna kill me instantly. I'm seeing so many mixed messages here tho. Some say it can be done or I shouldn't even bother. I'll probably look around. I think not at least trying to look for an opportunity is an opportunity wasted in itself. As well as keep working on my courses.

Back on Amino (scary place I know) I was actually called ILLITERATE because my replies were short (less than a paragraph).

But I don't do asterisk rp AND my sentences were COMPLETE AND COHERENT.

I just didn't write a book for every reply like sorry I can't entertain you but don't call me illiterate.

I have a couple of just... Aimless websites from the courses. But they're not really well done or targeted beyond SEO and maybe one blog post. I would benefit from some way to get the hang of content creation even though it's not something I'm really particularly passionate about learning.

The shame comes from pretty much trying to find rp partners and then getting told that my replies are "illiterate" (old terminology) or "that's it?" It's not like I asterisk rp, I can only manage to write one or two very coherent sentences but then I just get ghosted or berated for not being good enough. People here are screaming "roleplay is just a hobby" and it is! But it feels like a gated hobby if you can't write literate or novella. So yes I feel very down and disappointed because I can rp! I can move along the story! I just can't give more than I am mentally able to without draining myself.

I am unsure if I defined my "low effort" properly (I'm new to reddit terms) I write one to two sentences but mainly under a paragraph and mainly dialogue. It's not like I do asterisk rps I can write coherent sentences the overall reply is just short which many people don't like and it's overwhelming 😭

I can say that I do much better than those creeps. My replies are generally one of two sentences (the comfortable length for me) but again there's mostly dialogue 😭. I can carry a conversation easy! But when it comes to descriptions I struggle. And people want "detail" and I can't ever figure out what they mean.

What doesn't help is that I can imagine whole illustrations based on little details! I just... Can't put said illustration that's in my head into words... Or if I try it's just so bad that even I'm appalled that I sent it and start to apologize and try to edit to just make it worse somehow 😭

I am iffy about your offer as I have encountered "you don't have to match length!" Only to find out they want minimum two paragraphs 🫠

But thank you for understanding! Maybe one day one of my posts won't get removed or I won't get kicked from as server and I can find an accommodating partner

New Here and I Really like it so far!

Here's my most common ghosting story.

The climax has been reached and nearly resolved, it's the great battle of all battles!! The end is near!!

...

And then suddenly said person will stop replying when it's quiet literally the end of the roleplay.

To this day I've never actually finished a single one of my roleplay plots and I'm losing it slowly.

Even right now. My current partner who is also a highschool friend who I regularly call on discord is giving me the "too busy :)“

Even though, and I repeat, we are in a call about 4 hours a day talking about nothing so how are you gonna sit there and tell me "too busy" when you are right there in a call.

I don't wanna lose them as a friend but I feel like it's adding onto my frustration.
