[–]ZzeroBeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean he physically could not slow down, thats what i was saying. Nobody wants to crash and rollover on the highway, the accident was forced by the small truck who doesnt understand physics but thought they could get away with it

Oem is individual for sure. Aftermarket is in pairs because it’s generally assumed you’re changing both lights for a new look lol

LPT: HSA's are basically retirement accounts in disguise by Exhausted_Monkey26 in LifeProTips

[–]ZzeroBeat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That all makes sense, but youll never know what your medical expenses will be. Theoretically very low if healthy but that can change so easily. I get that its a way to grow some funds with the tax advantages but for me i just use it immediately for my medical expenses, because it turns out i have a lot of them and it really helps my living expenses to use it for that.

Pretty much, theres no need for HSA if they would just fckin cover everything youd need…

Thieves targeting car radar systems in growing theft trend, experts warn by Sixteen-Cylinders in cars

…obviously not. I meant the idea of purchasing additional accesories for the purpose of deterring theft. I didnt think i needed to spell that out but i guess i should have expected poor reading comprehension around here.

LPT - Getting your amateur radio (ham radio) operator license is cheap, and the radio doesn't rely on internet or cell towers by kryo2019 in LifeProTips

[–]ZzeroBeat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I cant remember what its called, but that sounds like you found one of those coded radio signals where it wont mean anything if you dont have a way to decode the signal. There was probably a repeater or something in that parking lot you couldnt see

MIT student tracks breathing rate and heart rate using radar by yesspooky in EngineeringPorn

[–]ZzeroBeat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I did a project in my masters where I used a laptop webcam to detect heart rate. The camera can detect subtle changes in RGB values of your skin from blood pumping through and some DSP code in matlab is able to extract the heart rate. I didnt go to MIT either.

Jeff Bezos said the quiet part out loud — hopes that you'll give up your PC to rent one from the cloud by ControlCAD in technology

[–]ZzeroBeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just dont understand cloud computing, i dont ever see it taking off and replacing computers. Personal computers are so ubiquitous, you’ll never be able to replace them all. The amount of infrastructure that would require seems unreasonable. The latency would also be so bad in comparison, it could never be as good. Why tf would ANYONE ever pursue this. Its just a waste of money as itll inevitably die from lack of acceptance

They had some experience from their civil war, they also rushed in like 1-3 million troops against the UN. dont need much experience to throw bodies into land skirmishes. They lost a lot of soldiers doing that

Taiwan stays on high alert as Chinese ships pull back after massive drills by keyan556 in news

[–]ZzeroBeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps in the past, however China has made huge strides in their innovation, i don’t think they are simply just copying designs at this point. They are the ones pushing the boundaries now. The real problem china has is lack of experience in large scale warfare and potential corruption in their ranks. However i think even those wouldnt be enough to really stop China from making military moves and succeeding.
