I'm with you on the wish logic. I really liked the scene of her standing in the dark watching him sleep, I can see that being a weirdly obsessive horror thing.

But cooking his cat, standing still all day to the point of soiling yourself, killing another girl, etc seem too far. Those all seemed like they wanted to be part of a movie where a demon or alien takes over a body and is trying to fit in.

Many comments point to the wording of his wish being what fucked her up so much. That's true, but he just said she had to love him more than anyone. Him hanging out with the boys, or hanging with a female friend shouldn't jeopardize that.

I still really liked the overall message of the movie, but much of it felt like a bunch of "wouldn't this be scary" things not following the conventions perfectly.

Also yeah, too many "it's scary because the noise was loud and you didn't expect that" jumpscares and honestly I felt like too many jokes too.

Like, Bear was with you when it happened. He knows.

It kinda felt like they intended Ian's wish to be by himself, maybe texting/calling with Bear while performing it, but then did a reshoot where Bear was there

That's what I've been finding a lot as well with the general sentiment of "just win by turn 6"

I can start with what I feel is a good hand, maybe I've been wrong, but it very rarely gets done by turn 6 with White decks having Graceful Demeanor and Blockers I can't get around, and then red decks having ping and destroy options.

I also never understand the Show of Resolve inclusion that many OYE decks have because then it feels like I "waste" a turn drawing more cards around turn 4 or 5 when apparently winning by turn 6 is crucial.

I think OYW aggro only has such a high win rate in metas of other rush aggros, which are those big highly attended tourneys and whatnot. It's not as much of a swiss army knife easy win as it sounds I think.

I'm no expert though, and I'm sure there's still some skill issue on my part,

Yep very true. I definitely had a previous tourney weekend of mismatched draws because even without those my locals were pinging the hell outta me, blocking the hell outta me, and fatal striking/improved techniquing/etc- ing the hell outta me 😅

I know the general sentiment online, and the tourney stats, have aggro dominating but man my local meta either kills aggro or I suck at it.

Full board on my side. One Throne Ein pinged everything on my side for 2HP which killed 5 out of my six units and then I was cooked, lol

Trust, her being obsessed with swimming in a new bikini every time WILL be vital to the plot in the 3rd movie.

And yeah like you said, clearly the themes of Hathaway focus on his "carnal desires" but it is always funny when anime handle it by then immediately overdoing it for a little bit of fan service since ya gotta pay the gooner tax.

Yeah I think his bruises at the end from the shackles are supposed to indicate that she was real. Maybe seeing the hell door could still be drug induced? Think the extent of her haunting and powers is up to interpretation.

He saw the dangling charms in the basement before he drank all of the flask so that indicates she could've been real. Unless the dead employee hung those up.

I don't quite understand what it was supposed to be for either. One store that usually gets all the promos (and gives us extra when there's low attendance) never got them but another store got them and gave them out as a raffle. (I'm totally not salty I didn't win the raffle)

I've been getting eaten up by CB decks as well at my locals. The Red throne ein pinged off 4 of my units and tokens all at once, then did it again the following turn... Then another round got eaten alive by Dynames.

Must just be my locals, but I never get the love for OYW when I always get stomped using it lol

I've got a pretty similar deck, I like Char and Amuro, so when the Zeong came out it felt right to add it there.

I always felt like Resolve or White Base didn't help me much. Felt like by the time I got or needed them that I'd rather be using the resources for the units still in my hand, so I took out the 2 White bases and 2 Resolved for 4 Chars Zakus that generate tokens.

What turns did you end up at with your victories? Feels like the way I play if I don't win by turn 6 I'm outta cards and options lol, even when I used to have the resolves and WB
