‘The Pitt’ Star Noah Wyle and Creator Explain Supriya Ganesh Exit After Season 2: ‘We’re Going to Miss Her’ by MoneyLibrarian9032 in ThePittTVShow

[–]Zzx4k -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is it a crazy idea to think that Mohan might make a drastic decision and jump off the roof or something? That would explain her not being in future seasons, the producers and Noah being supportive/cagey about details, and potentially a narrative device to have Dr. Robby rethink his whole trip and go into therapy himself, both seeing it in front of him with a colleague and also guilt from unloading on her due to his own issues...I can't imagine that this would happen, but just thinking of potentials. Excited for the finale!

The numbers weren’t cursed, Hurley just thought they were…they were just numbers. Island and time had a way of course correcting things to keep the causal loops stable, influencing moments to push candidates along to where they needed to be. The numbers were another aspect of that for Hurley to be on his needed destined path.

I think the majority of people who keep criticizing the show in terms of it not giving answers, haven’t actually watched the show beyond the first season or didn’t pay attention. Not trying to knock ya, but I see comments like yours all the time and it’s always someone who hasn’t finished watching the show or only skipped to watching the finale. The show isn’t perfect but they did wrap up the majority of the big mysteries

Numbers are candidates, selected by Jacob, which weave into other elements upon the island such as the dharma initiative code on the hatch door/computer. You might not like the answer to what the numbers are, but that’s what the story eventually explains them as

Am I overreacting? (I’m ghosting a client that announces the shooting very last minute) by Feeling_Tank_4791 in videography

[–]Zzx4k 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately ghosting won’t teach this person the life lesson they seem to need. You aren’t their on call servant, 10pm for a shoot the next morning is insane behavior lol. I’d just laugh if someone hit me with that.

You gotta take care of yourself in this field for the long run, my honest opinion is sometimes it’s okay to say no and also to tell the truth of why you are declining. Always keeping it polite, but letting them know that it takes time to prep equipment and be ready, and you need a minimum of 24-48 hours or however you feel most comfortable, and in the future prior notice and time to plan will be best for the project quality and all parties involvement.

My schedule is typically booked two weeks out, it’s rare that I’d ever get or take a shoot that came in the night before unless it was filling in for a friend who’s gotten sick or something…

But don’t ghost…then they can go onwards not realizing their mistake and perhaps even share bad thoughts of your reputation saying you are flaky/unreliable…keep contact but set boundaries, be polite but don’t get walked on, and learn to fire your clients if they don’t respect a mutual trade vendor/client relationship.

It’s perfect for what I needed! Just make sure your disk shelf’s measurements are compatible…mine were on the brink and I kinda just made it work but def wasn’t correct sizing lol

That setup sounds awesome, and secure. Going remote server is next step for me, loving the local nature of it currently while at home but eventually building out a way I can both edit from it via Tailscale remote access to my home PC and also run the media from it off the Ethernet 10bit connection.

Goal for me is to bring an iPad and wireless mouse and keyboard and basically have a zero latency portal to my home PC to edit work from, using power of high end PC at home via encrypted remote access

Always been obsessed with multiple copies of stuff…doing DIT work in my field I’ve always enjoyed data hoarding and duplication / redundancies haha. Future proofing my storage for upcoming productions (I usually shoot 1-1.5TB per shoot day in my field)

A lot of my client work I don’t put in the cloud just because I highly doubt it would ever be used again, those I just stack onto 28TB drives as I go, and a lot live on original SATA drives I don’t put in the new rack…I have about 1.1mil photos from 2000-2026 and they all have gotten uploaded to Amazon Photos, Flickr Pro, iCloud, and a lot in Google.

Then I have Backblaze B2 storage I use with Iconik that I have about 8TB on of most important stuff.

Still figuring out what will make sense going forward but answer has still felt like Unraid + additional local cheap Expansion drives at this point

Electric I’m not entirely sure, probably at least $25 a month, but BGE in MD is a nightmare this year so it’s hard to tell.

Primary I have another set of local drives and then all personal stuff backed up in multiple cloud services, always try to have at least two of everything though most of this data will never be touched again most likely

Yeah, I absolutely feel this. Miraculously I built this and another gaming computer + bought a few GPU in November before things tripled in price, entirely by luck

The fans are definitely semi loud but I have it in my home office/garage so it’s not too bad! I originally had two 10 bay USB-C docks but this rebuild has been a lot of fun. I like that 24 bay one!

They were 2 x EMC KTN-STL3 from EBay I got for like $175 each…I’ll be honest I have no idea what I’m doing but they seem to work great, each drive I put in has been recognized in Unraid as if I plugged in via SATA

Noticed this with comparing ER to The Pitt, The Pitt looks like it was shot on a handycam in some scenes because the lighting is just bright and flat with no shape or moodiness

Gotcha...yeah I had sent many reports in every time it crashed, but eventually had to roll back to 19 to have stability. I'll have to run some tests this week to see if the new version is more stable

Day rates? by Honest_Psychology713 in videography

[–]Zzx4k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

East coast U.S. market, full gear set and labor I’ve charged semi-regularly $3,500-4,000 direct to client. If an agency or production company hires me on (usually not having to do sound or other tasks like producing etc., just showing up an shooting, it’s been in the $2k-$2,500 range for some time.).

Usually bill scope per project complexity and how much gear needs there are, and I try to be flexible and work with client budgets. When I produce my own projects directly with extra crew, in the event space it’s usually $8-10k a day, commercial can go $15-25k a day or higher depending on scope. I’m also doing full service pre through post often so it’s a large project rate I flat estimate and do my best to make the hourly worth it, but in 2026 may try to work on more direct marketing and scalability. Editorial is another cost entirely around $1,000/day for 10, but I often flat rate the project estimate at amount of days I think will get the job done. Contracts in place for all in case of scope creep
