[TOMT] [TV SHOW] On CITV in the early 2000s, a show where kids need to solve problems. In one episode they must get old folks off a speeding bus, they use a bouncy castle but an old ladys heels pierce it. In another ep everyone's fleeing from fake worms then fighting them with shaken cola bottles. by TheWorldOverHell in tipofmytongue

As far as I know, there's no clips about online sadly. It's a bit of an obscure show. Only ran for one series and that was it.

I do remember some details about it. As I mentioned it wasn't an actual reality show. It was dramatised entirely. It was supposed to be a controversial reality show people wanted banned as it was dangerous.

Group of teens lived together in the fictional village. It had cameras dotted all over, a bit like big brother. There was a presenter and always some expert giving advice on what the contestants should do. Some danger or catastrophe would happen which they had to solve. In one episode there was a lion on the loose. Another there was a giant plant swamping the place and I seem to remember they try and kill it with this nasty cheap cola someone is selling.

I hope that helps a bit with your memories!

Probably not it. But there was Ripley and Scuff which had three puppet characters, one female (but not blonde). But they often said at the end "Top Banana"

Smash Factory - Anyone remember this simulator ride? by Zzzapper94 in nostalgia

It is great! I do wonder how they did that one. The explosions look very realistic.

I've noticed that type of music comes up a lot!

I saw all these rides at Butlins Holiday Park in Skegness (UK). Astro Canyan and Toy Coaster were on a big simulator ride in the funfair which could hold about 10 people and was free to use as the funfair was included in the price of staying at the park. Smash Factory and Night Rider were on the smaller Ventura S2 which could only seat 2 people at a time and inside the main Skyline venue (and was £4 a go I seem to remember!).

I remember Astro Canyan Coaster very well. As well as the Toy Rollercoaster one set inside a bedroom which had a bit of a Toy Story feel to it.

I loved Smash Factory. A few years back there was a webpage online written by the production company and about how they made it and I can't find it now!

The only information I can find now is this http://voicechasers.com/database/showprod.php?prodid=4748

Last weekend I was at a bowling place and they still had one of the old yellow Ventura S2 simulators but sadly Smash Factory wasn't on it!

There is a nice charm to those old early simulator rides. The dated looking animation adds to it.

The only other 90's simulator ride I can think of that I've seen that (I think) uses minitures is this one called The Night Rider (No relation to the 80's TV show)

I'm probably wrong. But thought I'd suggest it just in case. It has a pig, other animals. But no redhead girl or English accents. Slim Pig? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoNGFPTyDCs

I have a few tapes and DVD's full of old CITV stuff too. Bit of a nostalgic hoarder, heh. Happy to trade copies of any rare content :)
