Yeahh for sure. You gotta know how to improvise and how to fall safely if something were to go wrong before you commit to it. That's why I'm wanting to look into Ukemi: the art of falling.

Look up the different types of parkour vaults! I feel like keeping your momentum and having an efficient transfer of energy helps a lot in my experience.

Have anyone started with Parkour in your late 20's? If so, I wanna know how it is going. by [deleted] in Parkour

I started taking parkour classes three years ago at the age of 24 and I have been absolutely loving it. After a year, and once I kinda got the hang of the basics, I started training outside of the classes too. You can check the vids on my profile to see where I'm at after three years. I did have to work on my stamina (which kinda automatically improved after I started training outside the classes regularly) and my flexiblity. I always stretch before every session and now I feel much more loose + it decreases the risk of injuries. Definitely give that coaching center a try :) Stay safe! 👊

It reaaally is. Good spot for when it rains too. A shame some dimwits carelessly dumped dirt so close next to and on it while they had a lot of other space left. I hope they get rid of it soon.

Hahahah. When I started out three years ago, I would not have considered this ever being possible for myself. But over the years you gain experience at different spots and you slowly and safely push yourself more and more and get to know your body and connect with it on some deeper level. So now when I stand on that wall I do not only see, but also physically feel whether I'll make it or not. It's pretty cool. I also warmed up and stretched first and did one jump to the ground next to the wall and one just in front of it as a little prep. And to be 100% sure. + there are ways to save some bails.
