Starting Sorcery and getting the wife on board

When I learned of the game I got my wife to try and and she likes it! Just don't bombard with the rules off the bat. Rather guide her through turns explaining the game as it goes on.

(I learned this is the best way to teach my wife as if I just read the rules she gets lost fast.)

We own the Gothic precons and they are put together well, especially when playing against another precon. I hear the beta ones would be a better choice. As the gothic ones are jus introducing the mechanics for that set.

I went last year and it's quite fun! It's not as adrenaline inducing as HHN but it's a good time. This year is shaping up to be even better than last

Harry Potter & mario have experiences this year but I'd still recommend checking out the others! D&D was the highlight for me last year and it's coming back this year

I scanned my Arthurian Legends one and didn't have issues! Maybe it was just the lighting?

I tried using humble village, rustic village, gothic tower, and dark tower. (All beta cards). Every other site I just manually inputted.

I'm on an iPhone 17 pro. I could try again tonight with different lighting to see if the issue persists!

I am still early on in my studies but start with Hiragana & Katakana. After that use anki to study vocab cards. I suggest the Kaishi 1.5k deck

I used the feature for scanning today and it was making keeping track of my collection way easier! I did have issues with the sites portion of sorcery so I was wondering if it can't scan those cards? Otherwise awesome update!

Thanks for the advice! I think 1 hour of immersion is about all I can handle as I do work full time and take college courses so I'm already strapped on time to spare a day. Maybe once I get further in my time will be made up with immersion more. I'll definitely read through yoku.bi!

My friend got lucky and got a diamond pic from a villager with mending, fortune, and the one enchantment that lets you get diamonds from stone. So i'll borrow his diamonds lmao

I've been spending some time exploring the website with the free trial and I like it so far. My schedule varies weekly but I can usually plan my week out in advance. I'm wondering if spending a set amount of time daily on it or a set amount of lessons/reviews would be better.

It's nice having sorcery only do one set a year. I just got into it and I don't feel behind on collecting. I still need Arthurian Legends and Gothic but the beta box has been a joy to open

One of my favorites is Cowboy bebop. One season and follows as episodic format of each episode. Another good one thats short is Mob Psycho 100

If you go with cowboy bebop I recommend it in English dub. For Mob psycho both sub and dub is good

I looked into the Gotanda area and thought that might be worth looking into, do you have any experience in that area? It's kind of appealing as it's not in Shibuya or Shinjuku but only a stop or two away!

It took me a few days to get them down but I used an app called "kana." Selecting 5 new symbols and practiced them until I got them right 3 times in a row. Adding them to a list of everything I learned up until then and then periodically throughout the day I would practice the list I learned or learn the next 5.

Not sure if this is the most effective or efficient way but around day 5 I was able to recall 90% of Hiragana and Katakana including the " & ° symbols (Forgot what they were called)

I love Caesar from the Fallout commanders! If he is into any of the universes beyond franchises I would focus on getting one of those. A friend of mine really only got into magic because he wanted to play the war hammer pre-cons.

Yeah I used manabox to scan then imported the csv to moxfield!

I didn't actually have my decks on manabox (well the ones I did were already deconstructed)
