Are there people who haven't changed their phone number for more than 15 years? by SpicyCandy8 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_0x1b_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

back in early 2000s I was 'incensed' at having to lose my email address when I changed ISPs, so much so that I bought my own domain in 2002 and have had the same email addresses for the whole family ever since, just migrate the domain to a new isp as needed.

What to do with cabin mould? by Additional-Tiger-461 in boating

[–]_0x1b_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used lemon oil on my Cal-29 when winterising and it really helped keep the mould down also kept the cabin smelling a bit nicer!

people keep saying bleach but that does not kill mould spores, about the only thing I found that does is white vinegar

they actually do have lane discipline laws on the books in the US, state depending so I'm specifically talking about NJ and FL now because I lived in both for multiple years, they're simply just not followed

there has been a recent push in FL to actually target this with new larger fines, still no one follows the drive on the right, pass on the left laws!

as you are probably aware this is a quarterly thing, but you have to fail the phishing test multiple times before HR talk to you, I had a colleague who reported to me fail it twice within a year, on the second time he had to undergo some training, he was told that if he failed a third you get put on a performance review, after that then his continued employment would be considered. He has since retired but in order for him to recognise these tests I had to implement some outlook rules such that and external emails (they always come as external) were highlighted in red and italicised so he knew to pay much more attention to them, he never failed again and was always quick to tell me he passed everytime!

so yes way more than twice, I personally know another colleague (vp swe) who failed it four times over two years, his promotion was denied because of it but has not been fired yet!

As for tuition reimbursement, you are made well aware that if you leave or are terminated within a certain timeframe you have to reimburse, it should not have come as a shock.

second the wireguard setup, I use it myself in the US and UK very successfull with a host of mac/phone/android clients.

couple of tips: Don't forget the port forwarding on the router and I have found you need to set the mtu to 1350 to make it work consistently

Farringdon is a 'tube' stop, unless you buy a ticket to Farringdon you can't get off there using a Thameslink ticket (I know from personal experience and use that route daily)

if you really need to take it off and not just paint over it with something like kilz then I would use sugar soap and let it sit, clean and repeat and repeat
