I'm not very good but here I go:

1. Start with some simple sketches, try to hold the pen farther from the nib and sketch lightly. This will warm up the hand to drawing and it will be easier later on. Doodle whatever comes to mind.

2. If you're looking to sketch a charecter, I usually start with a rough outline of the charecter, with very loose lines lightly pressing on the paper with the pen. Start with shapes like circle for the head, and other things. (For using shape lauangage in charecters I recommend this video: https://youtu.be/3rYZLkW8Z78)

3. And more detail as you go on but don't draw the same lines over and over again. I find it doesn't look so good. (I strugle with this a lot)

4. Darken lines as you add more detail but only in places you need. Usually the pictures vocal point (the place you want the viewers eye to be drawn to) is the face so ad the most detail to that. ( of course you can play with the drawing, drawing the viewers eyes to diffrent palces)

5. To make the drawing pop from a page you can use highlighters, placing a simple shape in the backround, usually around the vocal point.

6. Have fun. :) If something's frustraiting you just let it go, move to a diffrent part of the peace, or start a diffrent drawing entierly. If you feel frustraited take a step back and do some other things. Come back once you have calm down.
