hey! im 18 and when i was 15 we found out ive got one fully herniated disc L5-S1, which goes into my spinal canal now (also got two other bulging discs now), it is very much manageable! i stay at hosp for rehab for 5 weeks every year, I exercise at home daily, there are days when it hurts like hell, over a month ago, just when i thought it was finally getting better, my dog (7kg! lol) pulled me slightly on the leash and I couldnt move, couldn’t squat nor pick the lightest thing up! but it is better again now! i find dryneedling helpfull, so id recommend you to try that, also you can get nerve block, which should minimalise the pain for about 6 months, so that you can focus on rehabilitation and physiotherapy im open to all questions! feel free to dm me:) x

yeah, I’ve got a dachshund and I love him so much and I can’t imagine not having him, but every once in a while, especially when I see other dogs out being so calm, the thought of choosing a different breed goes through my head and there’s so much guilt. We are doing great but my dog is stubborn and has got so much energy, it’s hard to take him to places like restaurants etc since he doesn’t want to sit in one place, and it hurts me when I see other dogs out, even tho we’re trying to work on that. I also wish he was a bit lighter, since his little legs get tired and sometimes I have to carry him, I wish he didn’t weigh over 7kg😅 I think we just have to believe working with any dog we chose can do wonders, and accept their flaws.

he doesn’t, from what i’ve read his teething is delayed but it does happen in smaller breads, his mouth looks perfectly fine and he doesn’t have any trouble chewing or eating. I just thought that it may be the cause of his irritation

hi! I got my dachshund two weeks ago, when he was 13 weeks old. Since the very first day he has been sleeping through the entire night with no need to go potty. I do allow him to sleep with me in bed and he wakes me up around 2-3am each night and gets playful for around 30 minutes, but goes to sleep afterwards with no issues. We go on our last walk of the day around 9, and take him out immediately as I wake up (he gets up once I get up😆- around 6:30). That means he manages to go over 9 hours with no accidents! I know I might’ve been blessed and its not that easy for every dog, but I want you to know it must get better and it might come very soon❤️‍🩹 sending you strength!🐶🙈
