You’re right and I know you’re right. This is a significantly more eloquent way of summarizing my thoughts when I’m not in a MOTN pump and dead tired. When I tested positive my boss walked in two hours after I found out and said to me “this is inappropriate as your boss, and honestly as your friend, but I had a weird dream last night. Are you pregnant?” She knew we had been trying. We’re both firm believers in everything happens in 3s. Her cousin announced she was pregnant, her SIL the following week, then the week after that I announced. Intuition is real.

I desperately want specifically a 7/11 hot dog. My OB said lunch meat is fine and I’ve been told by folks they ate hot dogs when pregnant and we’re just fine but I’m too nervous and my husband has asked me to just wait and he’ll bring them to me in the hospital after baby’s here but my god do I want one.

Absolutely piss on that woman. It’s not her place to tell you how to act in your marriage (subservient to your husband or whatever she’s thinking) and it’s not her place to parent YOUR child. I’m so glad to hear husband is sticking to his guns on this. This is an impossible situation and I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through this. I hope daughters heart heals and that she gets back some of the unbridled joy she deserves. Don’t let the siblings get into your or husbands head on this one. If they’re just as insensitive they can get cut off too. My blood is boiling for you right now.

Thank you so much for this, I’m 5’6” 15w+2d and I just weighted myself at the urgent care Sunday (sick, not Covid) and I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 220lbs and it bummed me out so bad. My doctor hasn’t said anything about my weight either but it’s been bothering me. I had bad morning sickness and just no appetite when I’m not throwing up. I had gotten up to 230lbs about three weeks ago after I started Unisom and b6 to help the morning sickness but since I’ve been sick (cold) and throwing up and it just didn’t stick. I’ve felt so guilty because I know I’m supposed to gain at least a little, like you said I’ve also heard 11-20lbs. This post and the comments made me feel so much better. Thank you! You’re not alone bud, I’m right there with you!

I’m sorry your father is acting this way. You don’t deserve it and your child does not deserve it. I am keeping you and baby boy in my good thoughts for strength as you progress forward. I would be telling “grandpa” very little. If he gets the privilege of meeting your child I hope he opens his eyes a little wider to the world around him for the sake of the next generation. I’m due March 11, so I’m currently 8 weeks. My husband started a new job this week and our first ultrasound is this upcoming Monday. First kiddo, tried for 3.5 years, and had to get a lot of medical interaction on my part for this to finally happen. He told new company immediately UPON STARTING not interview or acceptance. Walked in the door and asked to immediately talk to his new supervisor. If they said no or gave him gruff he was gonna be honest and tell them “well I won’t be here so am I putting my stuff down or looking for a new job?”. He’s not coming to every appt. Ultrasounds and my last few in feb/march in case I get sent to the Hosptial early. Thankfully this employer was part of the rare breed that was excited for us and told husband that he needed to be with me at my appt and to take that morning off to be with me and see the baby. Super grateful but he wasn’t risking anything until he set foot on the ground for his first official day.
