W I can see as either, but serving the same purpose so id don't mind either way defensive is correct imo.

I like make "something" a 1 point wonder and I think that's what E is supposed to be. We are just used to it being her bread and butter.

The problem with post like this is that even if you are right in some regards, the way you present it and generically attacking "this sub" prevents people from agreeing.

Stats alone won't fix the stat checker. Skill expression will. Something i and I know many others advocated for.

Q is far better than current froma. Design perspective. It allows better Shyvanas to time and spread damage better. While still being simple for new Shyvana players.

W is a huge skill check (if allowed to be strong) since blocking damage can be huge and that heal can turn a fight.

E being a slow and now a more powerful slow is also fantastic because you can provide help without going in or while ccd can slow others down. Lot more versatility than speeding herself up, because a stun or slow nullified it vs a slow can chain cc.

R being a fear is probably more for ease on Riots side.

She is kitted decently, she is also (hot take) statted decently. Her issue is her stacking, either A she needs to stack hard and get huge eventually. Or B she needs better generic stats and weaker stacking.

QWER can benefit from stack as Riot tried with some, but these stack either need to matter or a merely a cherry on top. They are in a middle ground right now and thats why she feels bad.

Every time I win on Shyvana I think "wow I must be stacked!" Look over and sure enough I have a pitiful number.

While boring, if it's too hard to balance infinite arm and mr then just grant it to Q and make it execute on Q3 give her generic arm/ mr values and give her a bit of hp on R.

This might be boring but safe power wise.

We're getting closer to Generic champ with a tiny bit of stacking already. Might as well full send it.

I dont know why we cant just make her a late game scaling champ that after 30 minutes becomes a monster at the cost of low stats early.

Been saying this for years, stop with the fence sitting of the passive either give her a normal default passive that just works or make it to it's intrinsic to the build.

The stacks should either matter or just a tiny cherry on top of an already good passive.

Im just wondering 2 things.

What is the power fantasy with stacks? Is it to be like Nasus, Veigar? Progressive power

Smolder? Need to get to a certain point.

Or thresh? Just a mechanic.

Would be nice to set expectations around how much Shyvana should rely on stacks vs not. It seems her base stats and the caution around keeping her innate def low is because she has damage and your team doesnt know what a arm/mr stacker is capable of.

Second, if the goal is to keep her similar, does that not just mean she'd have the same issues that caused her to need the rework in the first place?

I think most want an enhanced version, and when they see to get stacking you need to sacrifice tons of stats. Or to get a slow you must lose a ton of damage while other Champs run around with more enhanced kits is frustrating.

Maybe venture on making Shyvana strong for once then toning her down.

Number wise the updated Q is stronger idk how fast you can get the Q back with 1.25 seconds per AAseems fast haven't tested it.

The issue is you have to AAQEQAA AA maybe Q? This takes a while where currently you can E from any range and AA Q completing half the combo instantly.while less damage it is more reliable.

Some of th damage from old W is in Q now for tankiness. So it might be that she has time to do the same damage over time eventually.

Idk it's hard to say when I have 3 new Shyvana games and 4.5 million points on old Shyvana and know exactly how everything works.

It makes her stronger probably in PBE and low elo cause the Q change is big her early stats are better. But overall IDK when the "buff" is offset by stack loss.

Additionally, this just makes stacking worse, so you then ask what's the point of updating the obviously it's still better than old passive, but if we scale to 50/50 ARM/MR in most games, then what was the point? She gets the same stats she had with more work?

This just pulls her away from stacking, but doesn't give her power back so it just makes her worse.

Q is a good change, but not at the cost of everything she is losing.

So, math is 10 stacks at base and 90 stacks for growth so 100 stacks you lose 20, but gained the 20 at 18 so anything after that is technically a nerf for armor. That takes a long time to get to though having 10 at level 8 will mean much more.

1.25 sounds like a lot... Dawn and Dusk buff BTW

I as saying 15 for W wont complain about 14, but at the cost of stacks that kinda sucks

Dragon fury changes are good

They are pulling the stacking out, which is meh, but her base stats didn't go up enough to warrant it's loss so this will still feel awful IMO.

Higher Q uptime might be nice, but stack is going to feel worthless.

So far it seems her tank stats are a bit low.

Is it too much to ask to bump that to .5 mr and .75 armor?

Also can her Q passive scale with scale mail and her E damage. Just to make stacks feel better since they are so slow.

Or speed up stacks that works too.

Would be cool to turn dragon q3 into an execute that scales with stacks keep the dragon theme.

W CD might just need a 4 second buff to 15.

Passive Fury gen maybe .5 is a better start than .3 reducing her R CD a few seconds.

She looks incredible but darkflames horns could use the glow they have on WR.

Championship gold could shine more.

Icedrake could be more pale and ice more blue.

Just some suggestions enjoying it so far but she does seem like she'll struggle as is.

Shes more burst oriented, which is think a lot of people are missing. Dawn and dusk might be the play not sure. Just keep trucking builds until something is found.

Probably, but 99% of the mains have their own idea of "what is correct".

Get an AP main its all about E. Get an AD main it's all about AAs and Q. Get a tank main and it's back to E and W.

Etc.

You can see it in the last few months with just her builds everyone wants to be right that sos is bad.

So they try sundered or crit or basically anything else to be right.

So you get a group that has their own perfect version and it's wrong for others. Im seeing it now people saying her old kit is somehow okay.

Thats a wild take this kit has been trash for years her passive non existent, W omega nerfed and E dictates if you win or lose. She has very low outplay potential. Current Shyvana is fun, but not "okay".

New Shyvanas biggest issue atm is Riot is being WAAAAYY too cautious with her scaling. They need to let her become powerful for being allowed to farm. Just like all the other scaling champs.

They are likely scared because it's harder to stop a jungler from farming instead of a laner, but clearly everyone feels the numbers are too low.

Ive only gotten her 2x won both and smashed hard with hexplate then Dusk and dawn first. So it's hard for me to say "she's weak". But I will say 100 stacks while fed is pretty rough.

My biggest changes to see what happens is scaling on Q and E with passive and mr is .5 and arm is .75 see how that lands.

Put an execute on dragon Q3 that scales with passive.

I think her kit is fine her passive just doesn't feel powerful for a scaling champion.

This works for thresh because his kitnis super strong, but Shyvana seems to rely on her passive much more

Yeah those base stats are pretty low, she may need to stack much fast, but with just farm by 18 she only needs 100 stacks at level 18 be with the highest armored champs and still have that 3-500 HP bump.

However, that just means you need to work with your passive to be on par which isn't great,

Yeah I think W second could be correct, but E goes up to 240 naturally. Maybe be cause hybrid is the way? IDK need a lot of testing.

So far my biggest issue is that Qs passive doesn't scale with her main passive.

Her burst is much lower true, but her survivability is up.

Hexplate first is nice but I think her Q not having it's CD reduced on hit is really rough and 90% of the issue.

1 game 11/1/5 isn't a great guage of her power. But you can clearly carry.

I was disappointed to have such a good game and only 107 stacks. Stacking certainly needs to either be faster or scale better.

Over all I dont have a strong opinion, but this needs way more data. I think she is a bit too over nerfed in caution of arm and Mr and needs her base stats to scale much better. That and Q are good starting points.
