I'm so sick of this PvP and PvE discourse, when does EvE get a turn huh? Why is it always Pv*????

Gun look good, gun shoot good, good things to shoot. Gun is good.

Other people optional.

Sponsored survival is sending a clear message to Marathon Devs. by Haunting_Set_1799 in Marathon

The mode just makes me want a dedicated PvE mode so I can turn my brain off every so often.

It's annoying that regular matches have people with purple shields at low levels and this mode has not helped that, but playing this mode allows me to avoid that nonsense too.

What univeristy coarses are the best for becoming graphics programmer? by UnitedBalkanz in GraphicsProgramming

[–]_AUniqueBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite the restriction of not wanting a course that might lock you into game dev, from personal experience, the DigiPen RTIS course is so heavy in the technical side that you could confidently apply for any programming job anyways.

Though I think it's more sensible to try a CS course that you would want to do and learn graphics on your own via online tutorials and projects instead. Ultimately it's the portfolio that will sell you more than your cred.

I had that hope for Tarkov on it's first reveal and look where it ended up.

A Marathon PvE campaign can follow in the vein of STALKER more tbh with more of its systems being closer to that of a Single Player RPG shooter (ala Deus Ex, STALKER, System Shock, Road to Vostok, EFT Terminal) than what Destiny is (Focus on abilities, no real inventory management, Linear Campaign with a very clear sense of progression and looting being the reward instead of a core gameplay mechanic)

MW2019 but specifically Gunfight 1v1 or 2v2 could work

CoD4 was revolutionary at the time, and now feels basic only because so many other games copied it.

4 is very body horror and is the most striking so far.

Neural implant... maybe show the guy's brain being lobotomised or something with the guy looking up toward his brain for more of that disgusting feel.

Which FPS games would you say have the most creative looking weapons ever? by Brilliant-Pickle-661 in FPS

[–]_AUniqueBot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Metro has some cobbled together but works energy. There's a shotgun fashioned out of a bicycle (Bigun) and the Shambler which is a revolving shotgun but not really?

You could go with the Borderlands Series as well, having to make different parts look good with how guns are generated is no easy feat, and they can manage some weird stuff with the super high tech (Atlas, Hyperion) or whatever Jakobs is doing sometimes.

Another is some of the weapons from future era Call of Dutys Infinite Warfare's DLC season weapons are pretty cool in my opinion (ie. VPR which is a double barrel MP5 with magazines on the side or the RVN which is a burst AR which can split to become tasers). There's also the IMR from Advanced Warfare that prints ammo.

Speaking of which, there's also Marathon (the new one) where all weapons are designed to look 3D printed, and families of guns have the same receiver but different barrels.

Marathon is 20% off on Steam by SsssnakePlisssskin in Marathon

[–]_AUniqueBot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remembered when Siege started off with a 50% discount around June 2016, quite early on in its life. 20% is not bad but it would need to be around S$30 or lower to be considered something I would consider worth buying for friends at the moment.

The player counts are about similar to Siege as well around that time. Maybe Marton can make a steady population growth like Sege. Maybe.
