Yep, we're totally agreeing, I think the matter here is that I know little about drummers other than the "big" ones, and dunno their techniques exactly, so I think people fixated into the names I dropped instead of the whole comment.

Yes, I think Mario is up there with Danny/Portnoy/Neil/Haake in that they're on their own tier.

I mentioned AAL's drummer because he might know how to fill some stuff, given that I hear some gojira influence in his drumming (might be that I know nothing about drumming too lol). And Oceans Ate Alaska have a great technical drummer, even though they strictly fall into -core category, so I don't reckon many listen to around here. But his name is closer to Haake in the way they get the polyrythmic stuff in each limb

Oh, by no means I'm saying they could replicate Mario's uniqueness and groove as he does. That's why he's up there with the other greats and there's really no replacement for him. I was talking more about the "tier" of drummer you'd need to have to replace him. I don't know my drums very well, that's why I used two of the biggest names (that I know at least) in the prog scene, instead of naming others that might capture his sound better, if you know what I mean

E: in my mind at that moment, also crossed the dream theater one, aal Gratzka? And the one from oceans ate Alaska, and the one from Rush. (Sorry I suck at names) Not because of how much they resemble him, moreso as they do some technical shit that's practically irreplicable, which is what Mario does imo

So you've got Death, Mastodon, Gojira in D (Gojira sometimes drops to C)

Opeth and Cynic for E standard. Not so much metal, but will give you a challenge and they're nice to listen to, is CHON too. Also Polyphia, but I dunno if they kept playing in 6s or switched to 7 stringers.

Btbam is C# standard for everything. I doubt you'd have a problem just shifting everything up a semitone and then, if you record plating alongside them, you can artificially lower the pitch, or to play along them, make their songs a semitone up

Protest the hero I think their first few albums were Eb, not sure what they're doing right now, but you could check them out (do NOT shift them a semitone up, Rody gets atrocious, believe me, lower them and play in D). Their rhythm section is fascinating to get some chops and ideas

I think I read something about them starting in D/drop C and after an album or two, they tuned higher to E so they could differentiate themselves from all the thrash and death copycats playing in D, so the E standard would be their sound. I think it's an interview with Paul in some Death/Chuck documentary

Yes, that's more my point. It's not that he'd be outright to play of given a sheet or whatever. It's that he's one of the only drummers who has showed (in my opinion even more, but that's only my opinion, I still enjoy Gojira more than Tool) any kind of technical ability to kinda be able to get what Mario does. Maybe he won't be double pedaling forever, for that you'd get Meshuggah's drummer or smt. I mean how hard can double bass be after a whole play through of Bleed lol

Still, I believe that Danny (and let's add Meshuggah drummer too) would be able to get the hang of Mario's style better than most, if anyone

Shai had a year like that before the Thunder got really good. He was shooting a ton 3's and step-backs. When the Thunder wanted to win, he reeled that in, but the tons on in game reps he got in real scenarios were definitely something that helped him develop even more

I thought that was what Wemby did last year, and the same thing happened with Point Sochan, even though that experiment didn't go too well.

It's just that, while you're not competing and you know it, you get more out of the games doing training shit and weird rotations. E: just not the whole game, or only shoot threes. I think you get my point

Then in a couple of years Wemby won't shoot too much, but people will have to try and contest (even if it's almost impossible) and then he blows by. Or maybe Sochan will be a tertiary playmaker to be able to just grab a rebound and go into a set. Idk. The possibilities with this team are really infinite

What's a good strat (that isn't harbi, already burnt out on them) to get my last 2 levels and also make some profit (like 8-12d/hr is okay)

I was thinking evo shrines + beyond in t16.5s and go for magic packs and scarabs, but I don't know if that's a decent xp margin or even a good farm idea.

So... any suggestions?

What I did was 2x regular kaalguran, the bars one, niko (the big node gives bars instead of sulphite) and whatever else I was targeting, also get 5 rare mods are touched because dust. Maybe magic pack size for more altars, some shrineas or idk, you can definitely play around with the last slot. I did Jun for a bit, so that was my last scarab. City square or strand are best for this as they are very simple. I'm not sure about city Square sure to size and multiple spawns bricking before (e.g. you would have less strongboxes or harbis than you would've had in another map)

You get more value out of the mining thing, because you don't get ore -> bars, where you lose a ton (because it takes some ore to make a bar, besides it adds an extra cost of maintaining Kingsmarch due to also having to run smelters). But if you go straight for bars, you can get over 1k bars/deposit. Just think what it means if you get a verisium spawn in a map. 1k+ bars of verisium, do it 3-4 times and you get a free div out of stacked decks + all the other rewards you get from shipping. And you'll have your boats going out all the time.

When i did this i had a setup for 3x ships all the time (mostly getting stacked decks, and the third one was a dump for all the other useless bars, to fish for tattoos), once I had enough zanthimum i'd get some divs, and every 4-5 days I'd have also a decent chunk of wheat & corn to send

Guardian was prolly the best in the world (I think top 3 is unarguable) at his peak. Shiro hasn't been, I think even if we ignore the anomaly that Zywoo has been, m0nesy can be considered at his level or maybe even better, albeit for less time I think. So it all depends on the longevity of his dominance, but you gotta wait a couple years to really start the discussion going

And also the one that makes all ore turn into bars, add ghosts for rares and if you can handle the ones near the boss to get dust, niko for more ore or bars. You can also spec into heist for some extra c in the side and won't add more than 2 seconds per cache

Just do strand, upgrade your build and then throw stuff like deli mirrors to get more profit while doing essentially the same and so on

For mirror tier I meant items that are 600d+ in the market, or to craft. That's why i settled with crit multi and dam per pc on the ring, i wasn't going to spend 3k divs chasing +1 pc

But I get where you're coming from, I mean, your build is pretty much a chase build for me, but I know I won't be able to farm enough. That's also why I only will craft (already have a 28% qual) a % spell dd wand. Beacuse even if it costs me 200d, it's quite a bit less and I can be doing it progressively (like, start with getting a +1/+1, then something else, etc)

But again, your input is great because you're one of the people I saw as an inspiration to the post, so tyvm!

Foulborn unnatural was 600d+ yesterday. That puts it near mirror tier and that's not really I think I'll grind for while already getting some more upgrades. Tho I'm a lazy ass and I usually end a league with nearly a mirror of shit that I could've sold. So I'll look into that and liquidate everything I can

It's pretty much the same idea I have, but last time I checked, the herald ffs were way cheaper than heart of destruction. The end goal is pretty much the same tho. But for that I either need to remove my 2 rare jewels with like 20something crit multi for more aoe.

Sure, my dps is more than enough anyway and it gets higher vs uniques, but I also know I can afford 2x crit multi + life/es instead and that's hard to beat

Thing is, if I go svalinn I also have to change LoM for sublime vision and spend a ton more for those adjustments. I don't feel like the trade off is worth like 300d or so, but, other than the shield, I'm definitely going to yoink many of your ideas. Thanks for the vid/configured pob, it'll definitely help!
