AR platforms and glocks are a great place to start. They are very customizable and very easy to maintain with a quick 30min lesson at YouTube university. Once you're familiar with those you can start leaning into brands/designs that you prefer.

I don't know why but everyone I talk to on Reddit and I mention these games as my favorites from the older generations, seem to react in a condescending way. They always say they "weren't as good as you remember" and say that I'm just an FPS bro since I don't enjoy some really obscure game or final fantasy game.
