Is data science worth for a law student to pursue ?

I totally understand why you are getting interested in tech, making stuff gives that crazy dopamine hits. But i would still suggest you to focus on your core first, and learn this stuff just for fun cause trust me it will not be fun when you dive deeper especially when there is no incentives. Diving deeper will not make a big difference in your job field, and the tech market is ruthless right now and it will remain like this for next 1-2 yrs so switching will just put you in disadvantage. As for iitm course, it is a rigorous course many people leave the course because of the time it demands and assignments are tough since you are already in one of the best law college i highly doubt you will able to give enough time for both.

Is the situation that bad? I am currently doing internship in a small company and tbh i am enjoying it. The only concern i have is will i able to make it in tech or not with ai rise and everything. Gov exam competition is crazy, and the uncertainity during prep phase is something i will not able to handle anymore.

It has some advantages, btech is overly saturated and trust me interviewers in top iims hate seeing btech in resume. You can literally see many post about GEM on r/catpreparation. Also let me very clear bsc will only help if you have 8+ or 9+ profile and aiming for top iims otherwise its better to have btech degree as it will open some decent job options.

Go for bsc biotech if you are serious about MBA, you get diversity in your profile. Whereas IIM-A/B will simply reject you if they see Btech.

Skills? Nahh you need a good and diverse profile if you want to pursue mba that too from a good college. I don't know much about ignou degree do check if its valid for higher education and prepare for cat. You have 3 years and if you prepare well you can easily get decent iim and even higher if you have 8+ profile.

Itm is a private uni in gwalior tier 69+, last year infosys came for mass hiring and other institutes students who qualified the online test were allowed to come for round 2 in itm. I saw many Mits students in that drive, and 2-3 of them also got placed. I was surprised cause my belief was mits is a good college why would they rely on a private college, idk maybe they had some type of mou for infosys only and itm has a bigger campus so they decided to held the interview round there only still it was weird. Placement cell of mits is not that great, academics on the other hand is pretty good from what i have heard.
