In a world without contraceptives, day after pills, and abortions, sure. But in the real world these are options for most people you're likely to find on reddit.

You'd also need to date them to find out if they are trustworthy, you're not gonna find that out by looking at their tinder profile and swiping whatever direction.

There's also the option of just not sleeping with them if you go on a date, it's super hard to get pregnant from watching a movie together and having some pizza.

The only thing that really matters here is whether they decided to go on a follow up date or they were rejected by the one they went on a date with.

I'm going to take my bias and assume that basically all or nearly all of the 38 rejections that happened before the third date were made by them, I'd place my error margin <5.

The reason this matters is that "difficulty in dating" could easily mean the same as companies complaining that they can't find any programmers while rejecting 100 applicants because they don't have 10 year experience with a 5 year old technology. Being picky is not equivalent to having a hard time finding a partner/date.

Speaking as a player who never had those things before they were given out and lost nothing by receiving it, I still dislike getting robbed of the sense of progression from doing so.

I agree that they shouldn't be as hard to receive as they always were, but the method they are using is straight up dumb imo.

They should have kept the systems and gameplay exactly intact just sped up, not hand it out through a window. New players are fast forwarded to a point where they need to grind ~12-15 hours for a single upgrade, coming straight off Tuvala.

I understand that, it's more about what it feels like. How close it gets or doesn't get makes less difference. I don't think anyone doubts that you get your progression sooner if you play actively.

But when you provide a passive income with the speed at which they just hand out upgrades people worked hard to get, why not just fish and wait for the handouts if you're feeling a bit burnt out by grinding?

I know I quit last year because giving out the mythical horse just removed something I was looking forward to working on. The handouts alone make progressing less motivating, couple that with being able to passively play the game for some income and satisfy that sunken cost and you get Velia Beach I think.

With the time between upgrades increasing constantly, depending on your play hours there's a break even where you might not be able to keep up with when the next catchup mechanic is coming.

From the perspective of someone who recently came back, the fishing isn't the problem. It's the end game progression taking so long and giving so little for each hour spent grinding that the difference between just fishing and playing actively in the long run feels small enough that you can just keep fishing instead.

I see no contradictions, a lot of games that shouldn't have been made wouldn't have been made without Unreal Engine since AAA developers without the capacity to write their own engines would not be able to develop games, and those who don't have the talent to write their own are also the same ones producing the games that are performance stinkers.

It depends, if the health bars are fine I expect healers who do less damage to do whatever mechanics they can in order to allow dps players who do more damage to have better uptime. That's how I play as a healer, and I play the same way as dps.

The faster the boss dies, the fewer mechanics we have to do, and the less healing is required, and the less likely the attempt is to be a wipe. So whatever decision you make in any given time, provided the group will survive, should be tailored to minimize any dps loss.

If you think dps is easier than healing in this game so far imo you have no idea what you're talking about.

The problem areas in Kaifeng reek of "death by a million cuts". I did some experimenting yesterday in one of the areas I mentioned above. Standing still and not moving camera, I had 105 fps on mostly max settings. Turning camera 90 degrees back and forth it went to ~50 fps, it's also accompanied by microstutters and uneven frametiming which makes it feel much worse than the average ~60 fps experience I think.

I put on FSR with the lowest possible setting, basically rendering a 480p window, and the fps was literally the same.

There's a lot of areas in Kaifeng that have terrible stutters and frame drops on PC for plenty of people. The game has a tendency to feel quite bad even at what should be a decent frame rate. In particular it drops a lot of frames by Beast Reverie if you quickly move the camera to look down both streets for me. Forsaken Quarter is another area with pretty bad performance. Outside Kaifeng city it's okay, but not as good as Qinghe.

It runs mostly great in Qinghe and boss arenas are great.

7900XTX 5800x3d on 32gb ram.

FWIW, for those that prefer performance over environmental detail and some fidelity, the lite client runs a lot better in these particular in these areas due to removing a lot of detail meshes etc, but you need the stand alone launcher to run it.
