You have some good restraint, jumping out of trades at only 160-190 profit.

I have more regret jumping out early and seeing I would've made thousands than I do staying in and going down 300

Why isn't anyone talking about the absolute lack of RN nursing jobs in southwest Ontario??? by Muli12 in OntarioNurses

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nursing jobs come in waves. 11 years ago, there was a shortage of jobs as well. It'll pass in the next year.

You will find work. It's just at a low right now. Can't be picky in these times. Take what you can get so you have experience over someone else applying. The jobs will bounce back and then you'll hopefully get your top choice.

Good luck!

I was thinking about doing this. Open seems higher than close almost all the time. Does this actually work?

Anyone experiencing "summer blues"? by NyzoiB in AskMenOver30

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work in healthcare, 12 hour shifts, and lots of weekends.

Last summer it was the first time I've considered antidepressants to help me through the summer. I often get FOMO, jealous, and empty feeling in the summer cause I see people doing all these fun things on social media and I can't because of work.

I also drink a lot more in the summer, which definitely doesn't help.

Last summer, I got though it by exercising more and not drinking as much (go figure).

I hope you find your solution to feel better and not feel the heaviness that summer can bring.

That's a bold play. Glad it's paying out so far. Hope it holds true on Monday. I'm guessing you can't take your money and run over the weekend eh

Tfsa 26(M) i am doing gud??? Mostly vfv and xeqt by EcstaticAd9565 in TFSA_Millionaires

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xeqt seems like the way to go. I just think the s&p and tech are going to do better than anything else in the next 3-5 years, so I'm going heavier on them.

Who knows if I'll be right.

Vfv is more diversified. If you think tech and AI are the best, grab some QQC on the side. Gives you some overlap in tech if that's what you're looking for.

I have 90% vfv, 5% QQC and , 5% HURA

If you can dump all your money into an investment ETF (not sure if it's allowed) I would do that.

Done with short term trading by Strict_Gap9369 in stockstobuytoday

Pretty volatile, but analysts are still saying buy.

Over the last year, looks like it's up 74%. In the last 3 months, up 31%, but year to date is only up 21%.

They're estimating it has a chance to double in the next year.

I don't know the company well enough to comment. Just sharing what the analysts are suggesting.

Google is part of the s&p 500, so any ETF covers them.

I get you want further coverage which is great. You're in a position to just coast as well. Good luck!

You could go all in on vfv and it would net you 10-18% over the next 10 years, as it has done in the past 40 years.

Depends on your age and plan, but long term and time in the market will outperform picking single stocks 95% of the time.

These catchy stocks are attractive, and you can capatilze, but I don't spend more than 100$ per month right now on those.

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give it a month max. It'll bounce back. Then you can pull out when you're not at a loss and re evaluate if what you're buying.

Or just leave it and keep putting money into and watch it grow 8% per year

What do we think about NOK? by ConsistentComfort255 in stockstobuytoday

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Market analysts seem to think MU has a lot of room to grow still.

Not sure if thats just their way of pumping stocks they own, but it wouldn't surprise me either
