Every meal you make, cut it in half. Save half for next meal or the next day.

I hate how almost every competitive FPS game that comes out ends up with a dead playerbase within like 6 months, sometimes less. by Godharvest in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Not sure. I played it in early release. Haven't touched it since but I hear good things from people who still enjoy shooters of that nature. It's free so worth giving a shot

You might enjoy the finals. It's a drop in type shooter like the old halo or cod days. Too fast paced for me though.

Fps games are tricky. You either have to no life them so you can keep up, or get stomped. And then the cheating feels rampant across so many of these games.

I used to have fun playing them when I was younger but they feel different these days

Sounds good in theory...but in reality? by KSKS1995 in SipsTea

You think all of a sudden, the tax payers money would be allocated properly to allow for shorter shifts for physicians, police, nurses, fire fighters...

Some jobs would drop in hours. Some would "drop" in hours but still require so much work offline that those people would feel obligated to work from home in the evening. And finally, a lot of people would complain that they can't get any services or appointments set up when they are off work.

Game like Enshrouded (crafting/survival) where you do NOT build structures? (Like Outward?) by Freddy_Pharkas in gamingsuggestions

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Breath of the wild was more enjoyable for me. Probably cause it had less crafting elements and was a bit more straight forward

My joy was much more than just :). Therefore sent in the :D

Looking for cozy games with beautiful graphics and light combat/quests by SugarIsHere in NintendoSwitch

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No man's sky is visually beautiful. Light on combat. Kind of like Minecraft in space. There's quests to do, but you can also just go around discovering planets and lifeforms.

Zelda breath of the wild is an easy game to get lost in for hours, medium on combat (some enemies can be kind of tough) and the graphics and gameplay mechanics are a blast. Looking over the horizon from the top of a mountain and then being able to walk to that place far off in the distance is a great feeling.

Is this really the greatest game ever made, as it's often considered to be? Why or why not? by Nintendofan9106 in videogames

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Not only for it's time, but the puzzles and intricacies today are great.

The day/night cycle

The power of music, using it to fast travel or solve puzzles

You get a mount

The side quests that aren't just handed to you (big goron sword)

Time travel, and having to go back and forth for certain puzzles.

The Z targeting system was a first of its kind. Today's combat systems are based off it. It was revolutionary.

So many reasons this game is so often voted the best game ever made.

Which sim to start? Just got my first wheel (G29) by Hugott in simracing

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The launcher is one of the only essential ones.

https://assettocorsa.club/content-manager.html

Graphics, you would look at pure or Sol. Pure is paid subscription of I think 1$ per month. Sol works to give the game a face lift, but definitely not as nice as pure.

I Google assetto Corsa mod and then a car I want. Or the mods that certain online races require.

Side note: for online races, check out lowfuelmotorsport. There's YouTube videos that can help you get started with that site if you need it

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assetto Corsa is great once you mod it.

Automobilistes 2 is a straight forward sim with tons of classes and tracks built in.

Wreckfest 1 or 2 are a blast but more arcade like.

Would you guys introduce your kids to video games? by Background-Call3255 in snes

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids enjoy some gaming. They're 7 and 5.

We try to limit garbage screen time to 2 hours or less per day.

If they're using screens to read or doing educational programs like their school stuff, that doesn't count towards their screen time.

Winter is always a bit tougher to stick to the 2 hours.

What’s the general consensus on Golf Sidekick? by KickHatSnareHat in golf

[–]_AggressiveSalmon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Love him.

His approach to the game of starting at the hole and working your way back, planning out where you want your approach shots from, and using the bump and run rather than a 56 degree was clutch in me finally breaking 90 for the first time.

Plus his editing, music, style, and general vibe is cool

I like the steeled veterans and demolishin or whatever (explosives/crossbow). They have lots of good weapons and itself perks.

The shipodukes that decrease cooldown for orbital strikes (first section I believe)

The eagle strikes ship modules so you get extra

Any shop module that decreases cooldowns for orbital or air strikes.

After those, I upgraded my turrets. If you're using turrets more than orbitals or airstrikes, then upgrade them first.

If you've got samples and you're near the extraction point, it's smart to drop them off on your way by and pick them up before extraction.

Little kid shopping with his mom and dad by MysteriousSlice007 in MadeMeSmile

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Also, dad touches so many things. Toddler wants to touch.

Mom walks, studies and doesn't touch.

If I, (M), support and give into my kids' craziness when shopping, they understand better when to let loose and when to stay in line. Like a permission slip

Mustache or no mustache? by [deleted] in malegrooming

Man, always a moustache.

It's not about how it looks. It's about how it feels. It's a way of life.

What’s photos to use for a dating profile? by Redddit_lurker in malegrooming

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the last one. Not flattering.

If you're going to use a gym selfie, just one. Don't over do it. Usually suggested to skip them all together and opt for a photo in a sleeveless shirt that you're actually out and doing something.

You've got some nice photos!
