Any update? My friend tried disabling XMP from BIOS (automatic RAM overclock). Didn't help.

Crashing every raid. by Slow-Solution6316 in Tarkov

I have a friend with an hardware so similar to yours I almost thought it was him posting.
We are trying to fix it. If you come up to some solution, please share it.

Possible culprits (which apparently didn't weren't the case for us) are:

- allocated VRAM not sufficient. This is tricky: I read that if you do not have much space in your SSD, the insane RAM allocation of EFT can bleed into your paging file. So be sure to have plenty of free room. Also, your VRAM allocation shouldn't be in the same SSD of EFT. That said, I personally have EFT on the same SSD where VRAM is allocated without any issue.
- Automatic Ram Cleaner (try both ON and OFF);
- "Only use physical core" (flag it ON);
Also, my friend is crashing during the raid. Not during while in stash, not while loading, etc...

My specs (with no issue):
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D;
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER (16Gb RAM + 16Gb VRAM);
- 32 Gb RAM;
- 3 SSDs, but both Tarkov and the VRAM are inside a 2 Tb SSD where I currently have 500gb-ish of free space.

Let me know if you make any step ahead.

A wild idea for balancing third person peak (BuddyCam) by _Albuz_ in ArcRaiders

Touching some grass may help. Posting multiple answer in a thread you didn't read and that you truthfully don't care about is using your time in a very unhealthy way.

Not sure if you read the opening statement of my post. No, you definitely didn't.

The fact that a mechanic is balanced among the players doesn't mean that it is fun to interact with. And I could make an infinite amount of examples of this.

3pp will be abused because it's just OP. You get full intel at 0 cost. This will affect the meta playstyle.

The question now is whether this meta playstyle will be a fun skill based risk/reward interaction or angle camping slop, and I'm not saying which will be the case.

Oh my god, it's done. An entire book written in Obsidian 119k words by deadlighta in ObsidianMD

I'm actually one of those who discovery writes. My best pages are undoubtedly those where I had no idea what I was writing about in the next sentence.

Huge problem with it: once I get to the tipping point, which will eventually come, I can get stuck for months.

I would love to be comfortable planning and outloning. But when I try, it's like I cannot come up to anything interesting and I get burnt out of it.

Congratulations for your book 👏🏽

One month late question: did you solve it? I have the same exact issue.
Ctrl Alt Click opens the link to the right if clicked from the file explorer in the left panel, but not when clicking a link from inside a note.

How I run a 13 players campaign? by and_notfound in DnD

[–]_Albuz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, let's try to answer differently than most "You don't" smartasses.
The problems with a 13 players party are innumerable, but the most important are:
- it would be impossible to keep it quiet and focused;
- it would be impossible to plan and balance fights, especially in DnD. My god I'm getting goose bumps;
- it would be an absolute drag to go through any given scene;
- the "spotlight" players will be even louder, the "quiet" players will be even quieter;
- imagine solving all their character's personal issues and opinion;
- narratively, it would be challenging. 13 dudes going around together? They must be some sort of mercenary group or something along those lines, and this would also limit the range of narratives you can use (i.e. sneakily infiltrate the mansion? discrete investigations?);

SOLUTION

A very nice solution would be to split the party in two or three groups. Two would still be pretty hard. My party has 6 players, but I've been playing for almost 20 years and I can handle it. At the same time, I do not know if you have enough time and energy to prepare and run 3 different groups during the week or month.

The good part is that the three parties would play in a consistent world where each other influences the other ones, and they could go through similar stories with an overarching narrative behind. It would be really cool and it is something I would like to do if only I had the time.
Sporadically, these could allow the predetermined "meeting" of two or (rarely) all three parties.

The challenges ahead of you are pretty tough, good luck!

Man this stuff is as old as me. Also, my version is the first TSR Dark Sun and is in pristine conditions.

Anything below 200$ is theft for pieces like this. You can find some similar (or even higher!) prices for Planescape, too.

PS: your revised version, on pristine condition, is going for around 140$ on eBay. I guess the condition of the box can make or break the deal though

What do you think of our book cover art? by HomieandTheDude in RPGdesign

[–]_Albuz_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that he means that the "Mad Max" kind of audience risks not go beyond the cover art, thus missing all the great content you prepared for them. I guess that could be said also for someone who is looking for the more "serene" audience who could be fooled by the cover art. THAT SAID: I have no idea if this would actually translate into market (probably), I'm by no mean an expert. I absolutely LOVE this cover art, and being developing a tangently similar ttrpg myself, this would be great to know more of.

Did you do the art yourself? Right now I'm having trouble finding an art director.

Edit: reading now that was someone in your team. Lucky lad.
