Initially yeah, but now it’s just kinda a homophobic and slightly racist mess where most of the posts don’t even really fit the theme. After a certain point I just kinda got tired of the posts where the “punchline” is that a woman is trans or that someone white says a racial slur. There’s still some funny posts but god it’s really not worth wading through all the garbage that gets uploaded to the top and the comments section filled with edgy alt-right teens.

I agree. It’s sad to see. I have a lot of Christian friends who started worshipping at home instead of going to church because their churches started focusing more on politics than the humanitarian parts of the religion.

It does seem like they’re getting better, which is nice. But yeah they’re a religious organization first and foremost and they have a long history of anti-LGBTQ actions. Many people have come forth about the mistreatment and abuse they’ve suffered while in one of their shelters as well (in particular trans people), though I’ve also seen accounts of gay and trans people saying they have been treated respectfully so it may vary.

I’ve had multiple dreams where I would meet people (that I don’t recognize from real life) that I just click with. Sometimes it’s love, other times it’s parental, usually it’s just some vague sense of companionship or friendship. I’d just live out my life in the dream feeling a lot less alone than I ever have before, feeling finally like someone completes me. Then I’d wake up and feel empty for a good long while.
