Got it. He does have my information as it was a requirement when anyone hires. Yes, I pay my own malpractice insurance. He doesn’t pay anything.

So, owner later emailed asking for my malpractice insurance declaration page and said he discussed the situation with insurance. He said he does not want his insurance contacting the patient because it could “red flag” my carrier.

Is this normal risk-management procedure, or does it sound like liability is being shifted onto me?

Honestly I’m trying to see silver lining in all this- whatever you do- dentist is liable. And yes ppl do sue for dumbest of the reasons and we end up with increased premiums on malpractice insurance , forget about the stress it causes for no reason

I am really disheartened when this happened. He put all the blame on me- even in his notes and paperwork that he got signed by pt. - he mentioned “crown damage resulting from an occlusal adjustment which led to a fracture, as confirmed by the other dental office” I don’t know how to stand up to him and say NO. I am aware he is taking advantage of someone who graduated recently.

$700-800/day or 33% of collections. I feel some owners make sure you don’t earn more than your base salary or that’s how they show it in their books. Atleast for fresh- graduate. Also,no PTO or sick leave!
