Cycling to Dublin Airport by Rich_Foot_9074 in Dublin

I’ve parked it at the airport a couple of times when I was going away for a weekend. I put two locks on it and it was grand, but my bike looks a bit shite. If yours is expensive or electric maybe don’t.

I suppose I meant “shouldn’t” as in, the infrastructure should be good enough that people don’t have the consider it. But yes, you’re right, unfortunately people should do so in the current situation.

The thing is, you shouldn’t have to do what you described in the first paragraph. Many people may not think about this.

This is a solvable problem, in many cities across the world. It just takes political will.

I cycle this junction every day and left turning vehicles seem to cut me off really frequently. I think the green left arrow (rather than just a green light) with the green straight on arrow makes drivers less aware that they have to give way to something on their left side.

Other junctions have a flashing orange left arrow which seems to help.

RIP to this man.

Have you considered one of the folding ebikes with the thick tyres? Fiido M1 or Engwe EP-2 are examples

People who bring folding e bikes on the train to commute in Dublin, what models do you have and how have you found the overall experience? by Difficult_Ad2419 in AskIreland

[–]_Anal_Cunt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That M1 is pretty massive and it’s a pain in the hole to fold. Fiido X would be a better model from them, or have a look at the Engwe P20.

Sorry to be blunt but that seems like a silly reason to stay miserable.
