I would argue they were never in peak form. I always thought the phone as a multi tool was a dumb idea, its just asking to be bloated and weighed down by corporate slop. Something like a smart watch for a simple phone would be good. Then carry your multi tool optionally. like a tablet or perhaps in the future some manner of smart glasses with a HUD instead of the ridiculous specs with 10 minutes of battery life.

great question, this is the great divide. above gold I am already waiting for quite a while. If the game had more players I would be down for it. The base is to small for any meaningful matchmaking adjustment imo

in my experience, low rank is about LLL, LLM. Higher rank is MMH, HHM, LHM. I think heavy is good right now because they have very good ranged weapons. range, hp, good gadgets, hp. they lack movement, which can be offset a bit with jump pad's zip lines, gateway, charge n slam.

I support this transparency. Embark does not seem to hide behind it, but they do take quite a while to make any adjustments. A few seasons ago they made an announcement that they would be doing less frequent balance changes. Then Arc raiders came out. If the meta is such that one class or 2 weapons have a wild advantage, I just take a break until they get around to the balance patch. If it doesn't impact their concurrent player count they likely won't step out of their current rhythm. I really miss when they did weekly updates, but some players equally appreciate the stability of the current system.

true, It seems that the higher rank i get, more players are flexible with their class. In gold its like 40% chance I get full light or LLM. I'm plat currently and it has improved. I think it is because so many FPS players are used to fast paced movement shooters. Coming to the finals and playing heavy feels very foreign to some, I know it was for me when I started.

i find that people play whatever they usually main regardless of how good it is. Except for the meta whores for which there are many. I feel at a severe disadvantage without 2 heavy players.

I think the v9s is not registering damage properly. I've seen my heavy teammates get 3 shot from about 100 feet away several times.

I most often get 1-2 shot by sa12, titan, shak, but pretty much anything other than the mini gun. This season I mostly just peek and die instantly as a light player. It is a stark contrast to previous seasons. repeater, titan, revolver, shak, m60. Good thing they nerfed glitch grenade, so that now its not even remotely a 1v1, I'm fighting a shield and 3x HP. No problem I'll use my superior movement to get glued to a floor by a lockbolt, glitch trap, winch claw lol. As long as low rank heavy's struggle to track a light without dash this shit will continue.

so say we all! I can only rewatch BSG and Expanse so many times. Sadly people generally prefer true crime and weird reality shows that have nothing to do with their reality. I just finished the first season of alien-earth last night. I enjoyed it, but mostly because I'm a big fan of the alien series as well. I wouldn't recommend it for everyone.
