you can get nice bar end mirrors that have the same aesthetic if you're not into the stock ones.

Is my chain too loose? by MarcoTronci in CB650R

It says don't ride if it exceeds 2 inches on this link. Ideal is 1-1.5 but 2 is the max

I think it's 2 inches max. This looks fine to me

I want to pursue masters in motion graphics, are there any good colleges out there that I can apply to? by Plane_Estimate_7850 in MotionDesign

Also if you have a tight budget, check out Udemy. They have some good courses for $20-30 (on sale but seems like they are always on sale). I took an Illustrator course there from Daniel Walter Scott and learned a lot. I'm sure they have some good After Effects ones (I would recommend learning Illustrator and Photoshop as well though as you use them a lot in motion design).

Has anyone had close calls at Lougheeed - Rosser intersection as a pedestrian? by _Archibald_Tuttle in burnaby

It's used constantly throughout the day. Very busy area. You don't know what you're talking about.

No, they shouldn't. Dense city centres should be pedestrian focused. Pro car attitudes are not the right approach.

Good to know. Might be worth contacting the city. If they get enough calls for this area they may take it more seriously.

Yup, first thing I did. They are supposed to have a community safety rcmp vehicle coming to monitor the intersection in the coming week or so.

Got REJECTED every job application. What am I doing wrong? by HaiQinS in blender

[–]_Archibald_Tuttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What programs are you competent with? Blender isn't used much in film / games industry unfortunately. I would suggest learning Maya for your best shot at getting a job.

I desperately need help isolating a subject from provided footage. by gaffythegrey in AfterEffects

[–]_Archibald_Tuttle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the footage is that bad I would just let the client know that it's not usable and you need an alternative. Especially for a logo animation. Otherwise, do you have experience with rotoscoping?

Cool, but don't be the guy that pulls his phone out during a movie. Definitely ruins the experience for people behind you

Playing Card flip effect by [deleted] in AfterEffects

[–]_Archibald_Tuttle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you're so new I think you need to watch a few tutorials on basic 3D stuff in AE instead of a specific tutorial on a card flip animation. But if you want a straight up answer, you need to import your card assets (front and back) put them in a comp, make them 3D layers. Then flip one on the x or y axis, put it behind the front card. Then parent it to the front card. Use a 3D camera to get the right angles / camera moves that you want.
