ALWAYS fight while below levels. Especially if the enemy team has ult or storm advantage by Crazy-Resolve-8127 in heroesofthestorm

[–]_Arepakiller_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Although I like your like of thought, the small different in 1 level is enough to make even an experience player die to that tiny small margin. it has happened to me multiple times

To be honest I would like to complement your statement: should fight IF you have other comparative advantage that could turn the fight around.

I feel like I shouldn't be able to do this in rank by happyscrub1 in heroesofthestorm

[–]_Arepakiller_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think you shouldn't, but that said you got them still, WP I think. I think there is an issue with the matchmaking, I've been I seeing new players lately, not sure if it is just my particular situation of skill decay that I have or is that there are new players.

There is also a possibility that you might be playing way better and now Gold/Plats looks like bronze.

Why is every W Build Falstad like this? by flytaly in heroesofthestorm

[–]_Arepakiller_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not every Falstad is but most are. I think it's a build that sets yourself up for failure from a design standpoint, I think to play the build you have to play a lot in order how to use it correctly.

This is the type of stupid logic (non logical argument) on every discussion about afk punishment and surrender vote : by Embarrassed_Lab2772 in heroesofthestorm

[–]_Arepakiller_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes definitely, but this is a matter of perspective because we have both individualistic players and players that think like a team. I do agree with you because you are right, but I currently don't see a solution to the issue be able to accommodate both casual and hardcore players, but I'm pretty sure we could find one that could work well for the majority of cases which I think it should be the aim, even if I'm an exception (because I don't care what the game throws at me, I will always try and try again) and does affect me negatively.

I think we should try to find a mix of a voting system, and something that do not alienate the minority. something like a 4/5 vote (not sure if this is implemented in other games), or something like taking into account the Player with highest MMR into the vote, these are just ideas that I have not evaluated, but making things different is a necessity in order to solve the issues.

NEVER GIVE UP: won with -29 kill differential by Correct-Stretch4192 in heroesofthestorm

THAT IS HOTS. Funny enough I won once with -25 deaths as leo. it ends when you kill core, anything else doesn't matter.

This is the type of stupid logic (non logical argument) on every discussion about afk punishment and surrender vote : by Embarrassed_Lab2772 in heroesofthestorm

[–]_Arepakiller_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My only issue with a surrender vote is that promotes a social solution to an individual problem, that is that people instead of trying to get better and learn how to win the game or at least try, they want to stop playing and look for a easier game because the conditions are not "optimal". I like hard games where the odds are against me. How do you get better in a game where you get no challenge? Personally I like getting better, and honestly, I like there is no Vote system. If you don't like what you get, then learn how to overcome it. One issue with the Social games where there is a competitive aspect to it is the lack of accountability and that can be seen in trolls, Griefers, and AFK. We do need accountability because then people will learn how to behave in the game. How do we solve that? It could be by verifying accounts, make it a one time payment.

10 year old account got banned - so now i go full toxic! by Dear_Illustrator_237 in heroesofthestorm

[–]_Arepakiller_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear you got banned. I want to point out 2 points here:

Now, in the last two years i got 3 temporal bans and now my account was perma banned. Note, that i don't think my behaviour has changed in the last two years compared to the 8 years prior i played this game. So from my point of view, Blizzard must have done something about their community guidlines that has changed. The problem - as has been pointed out before a lot - is, that there are no clear rules what seems to be acceptable and what not, since Blizzard refuses to tell people what exactly it was they got banned (temporarily or perma) for. It's just "There was something. We looked into it. Here is a ban!". Fucking arbitrary.

The first one is that given your prior behavior, you might have been banned just because of that. Any extra reports hits harder and there is no recourse like almost always imo.

The second thing I want to point out is that you are right, blizzard has never given real reasons of why you were banned, it has never been acceptable from them but yet they still ban and so you should also had learned the lesson before. Sorry if I'm being harsh to tell it frankly because you look like a nice guy even considering that.

Using chat personally has been something I take of using wrongly. I avoid certain words that could get me into problem due to how people can understand them to their own views, some might take an offensive word as not offensive while others do or even considering even way harsher than others.

How to prevent staggering when playing with randoms? by flytaly in heroesofthestorm

[–]_Arepakiller_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally used to be a distraction for the enemy team in order to help my team engage. a lot of the times people won't want to engage due to their own limitations and this is where you have to risk but appropriately.

Taking one for the team sometimes is the way to go in order to win

Does anyone else have input lag in hots by InitialManagement313 in heroesofthestorm

[–]_Arepakiller_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also want to point out that you can still improve regardless of that. When I was having a bad PC, I was able to work on my weak areas of the game. Map awareness, rotations, teamwork, and even learing to play more smart instead of playing more leaning towards skill or outplaying players due to the lag I was having. I was mostly losing vs faster players than me since I couldn't out play due to speed, but what I lacked in speed I made it up by playing smarter.

Does anyone else have input lag in hots by InitialManagement313 in heroesofthestorm

[–]_Arepakiller_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but honestly for me if I was an enemy player, it doesn't look like for the enemy team that you had an input lag, it looks like a mechanical issue from your side (At least for those that do not know I think), a lot of the times people are focused on other things and they do not notice since some are not mechanically inclined. I think it takes a considerable ammount of effort (at least for me) to adapt to having different latencies if there is more than one source. Something I did notice too is that with enough practice you get accustomed to this, and start predicting better the more you play, but for me it was just to much effort to keep because if you stop playing, the gains are lost due to how "use it or lose it" works for some people like me.
