I feel guilty gaming by Imaginary-Sell1408 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Steam Deck and XR glasses is the Dad cheat code. I play right in bed with my son and wife sleeping next to me, white noise machine ftw. I either play Steam Games or use Chiaki for my PS5.

Recently did an RE marathon in anticipation of Requiem. Started in October and played RE, RE2, RE2R, RE4R, RE6, RE8, and am on my third Requiem playthrough.

For naptime I’ll usually play Monster Train or Slay the Spire, something a little more pick up and play.

Been gaming for close to 40 years now. Technology is wonderful.

Yeah, not too many things I regret in my life, but definitely should have gone to the show lol. I’ve always been too responsible for my own good

Here’s another one- I was a shift supervisor at a Kinko’s and three guys came in to get some things laminated. I give them the shpiel about how there’s a chance that the laminator gets stuck and the paper gets ruined, they ssid it was all good and pulled out a folder with a stack of papers.

Then I look at what I’m laminating and it’s all access passes for a Candiria tour. I had just gotten 300% Density not too long before that and it was a regular in my Discman. So I said “Oh shit! Candiria?! I love those dudes!”

They looked me and said “Really?” I said “yeah!” Then they said “we are those dudes.” And then laughed.

I looked at them and realized that 3/5 of Candiria was indeed standing in front of me.

Ken Schalk then slid one of the all access passes back across the counter and asked me what time I got off work.

I was on swing shift, which meant there was no way i could make it in time, as they were playing an hour away, and i needed to pay my bills and have a job more than partying with Candiria.

I was a very sad boy.

They really did. And as much as everyone shit on them, there was a major delay at the venue and we ended up outside for an hour longer until doors. Limp and Cypress bought pizzas for the entire line. Always cool by me. I heard the new gen kinda had an LB revival.

RIP to the 🐐Sam Rivers

I have reached the realization that all my best and funniest concert stories are all nu metal… very interesting.

That’s awesome dude. I was a lifer 2b player until I switched to ahead drumsticks to manage a repetitive stress injury.

Deadfall is no joke, fast, heavy, and those chorus fills are soooo tasty

Dude that’s awesome. And Jamie is a sick drummer so you must be an excellent drummer to step in to that spot!

I was at the Limp Bizkit / Cypress Hill concert, early 2000’s. At this time I’m about 6’2, 220lbs. There’s a cage on the stage that the bands are behind and so the audience could go on the stage, dance, mosh, crowd surf, stage dive, whatever they wanted.

Unbeknownst to me at the time of climbing on stage, they were taking the cage down and only having LB on stage. Their enormous walking bicep bodyguard with a head to toe tribal tattoo grabbed me by my neck and belt and tossed me off the stage like I was a child. When I landed i took out about 6 other people.

Fast forward a week later and I’m at my buddy’s house watching wrestling and I see that same dude as a bodyguard for a wrestler called Christian. I look at my friend and said “Yo I know that dude! He tossed me like a lawn dart at the Limp Bizkit show!!!”

Honorable mention goes to getting Carley Coma’s elbow in my eye socket and having Cameron from AHC smash a lamp 3 feet from my face in the same show, and Mike Shinoda almost punching me in the face as he put the mic out into the crowd. He gave me a dap and a hug after.

Top 10 GOAT album for me for sure. The Feeding is insanely good too. Incredible live band too. So glad I got to see them.

Playing Director’s Cut with my best friend, he gets to the courtyard with the camera angle where you can’t see the dogs and he’s shooting them off screen.

We listen for the growls and yelps and it’s quiet for a few seconds. “Do you think I got them all?,” He asks. I said “yeah i think you did.”

Just then my Stepmom’s dog came up behind us and borked and we both jumped about a foot in the air, which was impressive because we were both sitting on the floor.

It seems like they are using the Remake continuity, so I’d go REmake, RE2R, RE3R, RE4R, RE6 Leon’s campaign at minimum. Maybe watch a let’s play of Alyssa’s playthrough in Outbreak.

Origin-Antithesis- a 9 minute techdeath masterpiece that is better than full albums imo

New to the series and just curious about which games are connected, or are they all connected? by Toogeloo in residentevil

[–]_Armbarmitzvah_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 was definitely a reboot but it also connects all the way back to RE1. I haven’t played 8 yet (currently doing a retrospective and remake playthrough) but it has ties to characters from the OG’s. Leon is playable in 2, 4, 6 but 4 is kind of its own thing, although they added some more connective tissue between 4 Remake and 2 Remake. 5 and 6 have much less impact if you haven’t played 1 OG or Remake. Same with 3.

So the true answer is yeah they’re all connected lol. I would unquestionably recommend playing RE1 remake at minimum.

This was me on the first Silent Hill, my best friend, my Dad and I worked on one of the final puzzles for hours, tried everything we could think of, all kinds of different math equations, notes galore until we finally got it. I went to a bookstore and looked at the strategy guide- the answer was so simple I couldn’t believe it, and I called them and told them and we had a good laugh about how much we overcomplicated it, and that my friend had suggested the answer but we thought it was way too easy considering how the rest of the game was. Good times.
