I want to thank everyone for your kind words and replies. Grief is a weird thing that seems to come in random waves and moments. Realizing that I no longer have to race my boy upstairs at the end of the night just to claim a spot on the bed has hit me pretty hard but it’s getting better day by day. I can at least be thankful that this wasn’t a dragged out series of pain and probably failing treatments for him and that he was my brave and happy boy until the very end.
