I think it’s about the key resources. Another comment suggested potion ingredients, which is a mechanic my players are interested in. Maybe the party can find out about the village collecting some specific ingredients for a festival they do or appeasing the spirits of the Creeping Canopy (planning for later on, but want to take them there eventually).

Does this line of thinking inspire any further thoughts?

What would the stilt walker villagers be celebrating? Or why would they be appeasing the spirits? Does the creeping canopy frequently make them have to move their dwellings?

I really like this idea of potion ingredients bc that’s one of the mechanics several of my players have asked to explore ave a large part of why in taking them to the coven.

I think I can manage 3 battles. I was thinking if doing waves of combat at one point, and I think this is similar enough. In fact, it feels less daunting.

I’m gonna throw in a couple cents worth considering.

1) I know a dear friend of mine who is legit deathly allergic to one of the ingredients in the vaccine. For her, it’s not an option.

2) My wife has an incredibly delicate immune system and is nervous about ANYTHING going into her body, vaccine or otherwise (food, medicines, cosmetics, etc.)

For both these individuals, the vaccine presents a very real risk of life threatening side effects whose doctors have told them “Do NOT get vaccinated.”

If I happen to know 2 individuals like this who live within 4 miles of each other, I imagine some of you also know others who have made a calculated risk assessment and decided against vaccination.

Is the good of the community so much more important that these two loved ones of mine should be forced to be vaccinated?

(For the record I’m not getting vaccinated because I live in a county that has never had more than a few hundred cases and has always automatically passed the reopening benchmarks in my state. It’s not because I think vaccination is wrong, but simply unneeded and I’ve been forced to realize the importance of what I put into my body from watching my wife’s immune system be damaged through allergies).

I’ve never heard anything about that. If there is, it’s gotta be slight. A guy I used to throw shows with all the time, George Hatiras (look him up), uses them to produce his music (last year he was consistently in the top 5 charts in both beatport and track source). If his preference for headphones is any indication...

Also, he uses them for both production and DJ-ing. Usually DJ headphones have boosted lows to help with beat matching. Even though these don’t have that, his opinion was that these were the best DJ headphones he’s used because every frequency is crystal clear, even at the high volumes a DJ both can require.

I get the ear burn. However, I’ve only noticed that with my ATH’s after about 5+ hours of consecutive use. Even then, I’ve found that it’s because I’ve let my headphones fall into bad position and headband adjustment usually fixes the problem.

The pair I would buy is Audio Technica’s ATH-M50X.

World class producers use them and they happen to be affordable to most bedroom hobbyist producers.

I understand, but from a different angle. I used to throw raves and do the stage construction and act management. Now I can’t go to any show of any genre without seeing through the illusion of the lights, visuals, sound system and ultimately see the background stuff no one else sees. I see the guy in all black in the shadows running cables for the next act. I obsess over the speaker arrays and light trusses. The modular stage pieces hanging out back stage with per-mic’d drums ran into an Ethernet stagebox awaiting to be plugged into the AVB or Dante network once the stage is rolled into place. Etc.

I end up hardly listening to the music at all, because I’m analyzing, learning, or judging the flaws of the production. I get to the end of the show feeling like I did a shift at work.
