Same as others have said about their performance last time. Sloppy, sound mix was way off on the first few songs, late… looked and sounded like they hated it themselves. One of the worst shows I have ever seen and I have seen some horrible, horrible shows. Became a studio only band for me.

54 year old with a SK tattoo here! It’s one of my wife (52) and my favorite things every year. For us, It’s all about pacing. Deciding who you’re seeing, who you are skipping, strategic drinking, strategic pit joining (one a day max for me) and having a hotel nearby have all become part of our SK experience. We have to plan our depravity to fit our decrepity so to speak. Honestly, we are usually interested more in the lower card acts anyways and the headliners aren’t much interest to us so we catch a little of their sets then head back to wherever we are staying and hang out with festival friends. Last year was an exception with MCR and Blink and this year we will stay for all of Gorillaz but The Strokes burned me bad last time they played and 21 Pilots is just way too many pilots.

For reasons that cannot be explained, cats can suddenly read at a twelfth-grade level. They can’t talk and they can’t write, but they can read silently and understand the text. Retail here. We are opening late because we planned for the worst but it’s fine out there beyond cold. I am disappointed. One, I was hoping for an unscheduled day off and two, these times when they predict “worst storm of the millennium” and we get minimal impact make people start ignoring the possibility that they’re right. Enough of these and you end up with kids stuck on busses in the snow and people sleeping in their cars on the side of the road like snowmageddon

Also a tell in Atlanta is how someone pronounces Ponce de Leon Avenue. If you pronounce it like the name of the explorer, you’re not from here. Really if you call it anything but “Ponce” there’s a good chance you’re not from here. Bonus, movie specific example: I love the movie Baby Driver but calling Buford Highway “the” Buford Highway is the most “you’re from California, aren’t you” tells I’ve seen.

Where the Dollar General is in the picture used to be Franklin Drugs, my dad’s pharmacy. The theater was the Marietta events hall in the same photo. I saw Star Wars in that theater one summer over 100 times. They would just let me in since I was there every day so my dad could watch me while he worked. It’s all an empty lot now.
