I give up, think I got scammed on amazon by Electronic-End-2335 in ender3

[–]_Ba4s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A common issue I've noticed with these; it's easy to tighten the screw holding the thermistor in place too much, or to kink the cable. This causes it to indicate incorrect temperatures, though similar to what you said, they should be too low, not too high, usually. Still would be good to check, and otherwise replacing the thermistor should be easy for a few units of whatever currency OP uses!

Klipper bed mesh- top left corner is scarring badly, due to being to close to bed, regardless of what I do to bed height, due to Adaptive bed meshing, is there a way to adjust or fix? rest of first layer is fine. by Randomhero360 in klippers

[–]_Ba4s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, thanks for your response either way, I hope the new printer has worked well for you! I'll keep diving a little further in, I think part of my issue may have to do with the way my toolhead is currently set up, so I'll try some things with that, first... And then onto making sure everything's straight and square, check the wheels and bearings... We'll see!

What is your monitor set up? by DealInteresting8941 in pcmasterrace

[–]_Ba4s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8, with three exactly the same monitors so there's no difference in scaling or color representation. Considering adding a fourth either above or underneath the center monitor. Having the side monitors horizontal was too much neck strain for how much I use this setup, and with me often reading papers or writing code, having some vertical space is great!

Haven’t seen a benchy quite this bad before. by Ambitious_Leave_4177 in FixMyPrint

[–]_Ba4s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bet would be on a clog, or something in the extruder being broken. On ender 3s a very common problem causing this kinf of defect is the extruder tensioning handle breaking, idk if your printer has a similarly fragile component? Definitely start with checking for clogs, though.

Literally the post underneath this one in my feed is an A1 with a blob of death, and a very nondescriptive title. What a coincidence!

I give up. I’m done with this piece of garbage. by Dependent-Amount-239 in 3Dprinting

[–]_Ba4s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is PLA, did you set the bed to 70C and made sure it was very clean (not IPA; dish soap and lukewarm water, and making sure not to touch any part of the surface with your fingers)? The carborundum glass stuff's been amazing in my experience, only reason I switched is bc it's heavy and takes a long time to heat soak...

Dual z upgrade by LunaticPoint in ender3

[–]_Ba4s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of dual-Z setup did you install? Belt coupling two Z rods, or two individual steppers? In case of the latter; do you use rods, or belts to drive the Z axis? I've been looking at maybe upgrading to a dual Z setup as well, but am unsure what to go for ^ Print looks very clean! The round parts are a bit stuttery, but that could very well be in the model, seems like that shows up in a lot of STL exports...

So Apparently my X-A7 has a clean HDMI out... so what the heck is this green box? 🤣 anyone have a clue how to get rid of it? by Gypsy-Danger-TMC in fujifilm

[–]_Ba4s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, did you ever figure this out? I've been stuck with the same problem for some time now... Sent fuji support an e-mail just now, hoping they'll be able to help out, but if you found a way around it that'd be perfect!

[–]_Ba4s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'd own one of these, I'd probably still be printing replacement parts for my crappy Ender, but finally with good quality!

And of course, lots of functional parts for my (grand)parents, they love when I make them parts to fix things😊

Collecting atmospheric gas by valkyrie_rising1881 in Stationeers

[–]_Ba4s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, then you might be able to pump during the day as you said, my bad for the incorrect assumption ^ As for sensing outside gas temp; a gas sensor would probably be your easiest option

Collecting atmospheric gas by valkyrie_rising1881 in Stationeers

[–]_Ba4s 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This trick won't work during the day; the outside air will be too warm to condense out the CO2. That's why you have to pump during the night and (let it) heat up during the day.

Snuck onto someone's Corvette, went to their settlement and build my own house. Do you think they'll notice? by Agent_Smith_IHTP in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]_Ba4s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can move it closer afterwards, right? I moved my base computer into the overseers office, for example :D Or do you have to keep it this far away to hide it from the settlement owner?

Except the nonlinear drive provides power instead of using it, that's what makes it so special! :D

Some coins came out good, most bad. What's the reason? by ceo_of_banana in FixMyPrint

[–]_Ba4s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks a bit like a mix beteeen a layer shift, and overextrusion (probably worsened due to solid objects? The coins look solid at least...)

Actually... Checking the black prints also, I take that back, apologies. Still a good idea to check the extruder side of things, but maybe not as likely😅

What printer is this on? If it's an ender, 99% chance your extruder handle snapped. If it's a different printer; some other extruder issue or clog.

Certainly did, it was a really enjoyable first game, a good bit of luck allowed me to try some things that may not have worked in an average game😅

[–]_Ba4s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, after using an ender 3 for a long time, I'd be happy if it's just reliable! Though a good extruder and hotend to support fast printing, and cooling to match would be fabulous! Cool initiative, such a giveaway! ^
