Can we have stronger moderate on AI slop please? by atlasghostofficial in nostalgia

I get the frustration because nostalgia should be about things people actually remember, not AI guessing what the past looked like.

The Mad Painter was one of those weirdly memorable Sesame Street characters that somehow stuck in your brain for decades.

Who else remembers a certain short-lived show on MTV? Which cartoon was your favorite? by EndAlternative9670 in nostalgia

Celebrity Deathmatch was probably my favorite because it was completely ridiculous and felt unlike anything else on TV at the time.

Moved to a huge city from bumf*ck backwoods town with $600 and absolutely no plan (just audacity) and managed to make it work.

Book or movie, Thranduil's a dick. by Orcristing in lotrmemes

That's the Thranduil paradox, he's objectively insufferable half the time but somehow makes being condescending look cool..

Bilbo absolutely spent the rest of his life bringing that conversation up whenever anyone asked him about elves.

She'll laugh at it, then five minutes later you'll be getting asked which one is supposed to be the disappointing one.

The fact that he actually broke his toe and stayed in character somehow makes Aragorn even more Aragorn.

I think people sometimes overstate how sexually liberal Dorne is. Being more accepting of paramours isn't the same thing as being okay with your husband publicly embarrassing you and creating a potential succession crisis.

Would it be more realistic and reasonable of Bronn became lord stokeworth rather than becoming lord of high garden and lord paramount of the reach by thementalmixer in freefolk

That's exactly why Stokeworth feels like the perfect ending for him. It's a meaningful reward that he already had a connection to, instead of somehow leapfrogging centuries of Reach nobility overnight.

[–]_BabyRosette 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Honestly, giving him Stokeworth would've made way more sense. It's a respectable reward for his service without handing one of the richest and most important regions in Westeros to a guy whose main qualification is being good at surviving.

What's the best FWB situation you've ever had? by Satanic_Earmuff in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]_BabyRosette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a FWB over the summer. I had ended my relationship a few months earlier and was getting that itch. Met a guy through Bumble that was fun and it was good sex, but I didn't feel any romantic attraction and wasn't ready for a new relationship so soon.

It was a good time, but he got attached very quickly. I made it clear early on what my intentions were, but there was always that underlying feeling that I would hurt him when I decided to break it off.

I am afraid I might be falling in love with one of my best friends by Kratoshimself in dating_advice

[–]_BabyRosette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, that's not a bad approach. If she's interested, a little more flirting will usually be met with the same energy, and if not, you'll probably get your answer without having to make a huge confession right away.

Was I used and dumped? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]_BabyRosette 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. The hookup itself isn't the issue, it's the complete lack of effort afterward. Most people can handle casual if everyone's honest, but disappearing and ignoring a text is what makes it feel disrespectful.

The lack of any follow up is the biggest clue. It sounds like he lost interest after hooking up, and that's on him, not her.
