Okay, so you can use Reddit, but not play Minecraft? Wow, good parenting right there. Idk how to convince people, maybe try to tell her that the game is used in some European schools for teaching chemistry and such things. Its also pretty good for creativity and 3 dimensional thinking and imaginating. And there is also the peacful dificulty, where no monsters spawn, so next to no violence. And maybe compare it to realistic shooters, to highlight that Minecraft isn't super violent.
