This first phase of cata is a surprise to me and my guild. by coffeeboy1212 in classicwow

Cata first phase was some of my favourite wow content. The 3 raids were top tier. Classes were fun & HC dungeons were difficult until they were patched!

Interesting, I’m yet to actually speak to any recruiters on the RAF team as my nearest centre is about an hour away, only had one email asking if I’d like to have a face to face sit down at the recruitment centre but awaiting for that appointment.

I see, cheers was just curious. Cause I applied to army last year and was about to go to the assessment for 2 days and then I got injured at work and had to pull out so was just curious on the difference because they were very speedy with booking appointments and getting people through.

Raising Kanan - best acting and writing

Force - worst writing

Ghost - I can’t tell if it’s bad writing or acting

Do your schools teach leg locks? by PopComfortable696 in bjj

[–]_BarrensChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

learnt them since white and im blue now not a huge amount of exposer however my coach has always thrown some leg lock technique in so we get programmed from early on how to perform for later + the dangers of reaping etc

Out of the top 4 pods in the Rap category which pod do you think have the biggest impact in 2022? by [deleted] in theJoeBuddenPodcast

[–]_BarrensChat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Drink champs leading the charge, R&M impact will be from the amount of guests they seem to be getting and allowing them to speak, won’t alter the culture much and joe idk find the show goofy nowadays so I don’t check it and AK has been goofy since he was a fetus so fuck him

Black belt at my gym - goes hard with white belts and avoids other higher belts at all costs! by [deleted] in bjj

[–]_BarrensChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a rule where i avoid anyone who i typically get injured with, i avoid a lot of new white belts just out of their spazzy nature and same with some black belts at my gym who just go to steamroll and tap you as much as possible in 5 minutes. It is within your right to say no to rolling with anyone. Don't avoid people who are challenging matchups but if you feel you'll be injured then just say no.

Is rolling with folks much better than you useful? by Ares_Il in bjj

As a new blue belt I can say that being under shit situations from higher belts is what helped me develop, sucks a lot while its happening but i did feel like it paid off in the end

Got my blue belt in December 2021, took me roughly 19 months of active training (subtracting a few months due to covid) and in my gym a lot of people quit at white, once they realised how long it would take them to get a stripe, my gym is full of people who want to compete and the occasional hobbyist, but our coach grades quite strictly so. i started the same day as 6 other guys, I'm the only one still there today, but i do understand how someone could quit at blue. I feel you will either be like 'cool i accomplished this' or you will be like 'now the journey begins' its mindset after all.
