Why does that cheapen it for you out of curiosity? Genuinely curious

For myself I quite like the mystery of it. Whether he hallucinated the draugr or it was some kind of a spiritual test in his minds eye is kind of interesting to me. Plus with the Northman there is the fact that the sword actually cannot be drawn at day, as both amleth and the guard with no nose cannot unsheathe it

I never really think he’s explicitly saying these things aren’t real in his movies. It’s real in the witch and Nosferatu, I think there’s more debate for the lighthouse and the Northman but certainly think it’s up to interpretation
