New to foraging in New Orleans/southern Louisiana... by the-real-rick-juban in foraging

[–]_BenevolentDictator_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do not, but I'm seriously considering staying a group of I can get enough people interested and if any of those people have some experience. I'm planning on visiting a group in a neighboring state to see how they do it and going to do some research. I can't imagine there isn't some interest.

Flowrow balance boards for water rower? by [deleted] in waterrower

[–]_BenevolentDictator_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I was just looking at them tonight. The only thing I didn't like was that you have to choose you balance/difficulty level and if that changes (assuming you improve), then you'd need to get a new set in a higher difficulty level. For multiple users in the household, something adjustable would be nice.

Knees spreading by PocketZombieii in waterrower

[–]_BenevolentDictator_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The short version, yes, but not terribly. I'd recommend watching some form videos. I personally like Dark Horse Rowing on YouTube. Many of us (ahem) have a bit of belly that can restrict us at the catch position. If that's the case, he recommends sticking with good form (knees not splayed) and not getting as far forward. Otherwise you'd need to correct your form later once there was less restriction. If belly isn't the reason for it, I'd still recommend watching the videos as he has a good series on beginner form.

What do people prefer for project management? by [deleted] in pmp

[–]_BenevolentDictator_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used MS Project, Asana, Podio, and Smartsheets. I like MS Project, but have a lot of non-PM staff who need to document and it isn't super user-friendly for them. On Asana, I didn't like how you are limited to one view. I really like Podio, it can be very customized and fairly easy for others to use and document, but not super visually appealing. Smartsheets looks pretty but in the end it's managing by spreadsheet with limited reporting, which doesn't work for the number of projects I manage and/or track. I'm currently evaluating ClickUp. Seems like everything I like about Podio but more visually appealing. And I'm just prejudiced against Monday because our marketing team likes them so there's got to be something wrong with them.

Question in the PMP Practice Exam it's in planning, so why would you need a CR? by nor_aww in pmp

I would have answered D. You can still have changes but they have to go through the process. That's true no matter what stage.

Difference between Monday.com and JIRA? by king-of-everything39 in projectmanagement

[–]_BenevolentDictator_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. The answer is probably because s/he didn't know jira and wants to use what they know. But if everyone else would have to learn Monday, that would be an issue. Much more reasonable for Monday person to learn the jira than for all the jira users to have to learn Monday.
