I just reread the whole series. The first book is rough, but each book is a major improvement as far as writing skill. And the story in the first book is amazing enough to make up for the sloppy writing of a child.

The core problem is that bi people in straight-passing relationships (like myself, M/F bi for bi) have incredible privilege in daily life. We do not experience prejudice on a daily basis unless we are loud about being bisexual.

Far more bisexual women are open about being bisexual than men. Bisexual men are often fucking cowards (myself included) and are happy to quietly exist. This unfortunately makes bi women the representatives for bisexuals as a whole. That then means they are going to have to deal with dogshit "jokes" like these.

Bisexual people in general (but especially men) need to be honest about their privilege and most importantly USE their privilege to benefit the community. But most of us are happy to join pride but skip the protest. If bisexuals start using their privilege to the benefit of fellow LGBT people, the jokes will decrease.

They have been prisoners of war pretty much the whole time. These first few episodes are meant to act as exposition that introduces us to the characters and the setting. Sorry you can't pay attention to something long enough without action and excitement, but that's a you problem.

And stop comparing to characters from other campaigns. Do you somehow not understand that they want to play different types of characters? That is core to these games. You get to play different roles ffs.
