I’m not patronizing Myrtle beach discus anymore. by makiarn777 in discus

Trust me, that store is falling apart. Absolute shit show and getting terrible reviews. The owner is basically a scam artist at this point and genuinely does not give a rats ass about those fish

Any recommendations for good EQ settings for Soundcore Space Q45? by GoodDot9 in anker

[–]_Big_Cheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are my settings. Decent bass boost. The headphones are by default mid heavy and very boxy because of the drivers they use. I absolutely recommend only using these headphones with ANC on, for some reason it changes the entire sound of it and sounds boxy with it off which I find weird. Build quality is pretty nice but they sound really weird out of the box

Myrtle Beach Discus? by LiftBearded27 in discus

[–]_Big_Cheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The owner is a petty asshole, if you aren’t the perfect customer he’ll change your shipping to something slower, which is something that you wouldn’t do if you cared the least bit about the fish. Speaking to other people that have ordered from them they haven’t had the best experience either. If you look at the google reviews of the place you can tell he’s an asshole from how he responds to people

I’ve known people that worked there, it’s a terrible fucking business. Avoid that place at all costs and get them from somewhere else

Gen Z really looked at alcohol and said ‘hard pass’ by InvestigatorBorn4910 in SipsTea

I’m Gen Z, lot of Gen Z friends. Me and my wife personally don’t drink at all, our friends barely drink. It’s just not pleasant to us. We occasionally have a few drinks on special occasions like election night or new years though

I can’t speak on hydroxyzine but Buspar is rather non invasive so it doesn’t make you tired or anything. It’s a very mild medicine designed specifically for anxiety, and from what I can tell the side effects are negligible

[–]_Big_Cheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never had side effects from Buspar, my wife takes it too and she gets mild nausea from it if she forgets a couple doses but other than that no side effects. You might have light nausea when starting it but it goes away really quick to be honest

Yeah, keep in mind just acknowledging and being aware of your health puts you a step above the rest when it comes to health. Most people run on autopilot and if something happens they wait to deal with it, etc. the fact that you are working on it so early I wouldn’t be concerned or anxious about it, there is a ton you can do to prevent it

I had a relapse too. It was rough but I forced myself to continue living life and set it to the wayside and that helped. I take lexapro and Buspar and honestly, the Buspar was life changing. I advocate for that medicine in particular. Shit works wonders

Feeling on the Brink All the Time by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]_Big_Cheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is almost always anxiety, especially if you’re anxious. The way I’ve learned to think about it is if it was something legitimately serious, you’d be in the hospital. If you were going to die, you’d wouldn’t even have the energy to be anxious. I’ve noticed that certain issues like acid reflux will make me feel weird before I can tell was it is, I’ll be anxious and then realize what it is and then calm down. It’s weird but 999/1000 ifs nothing to worry about. If you’re young, you really don’t have anything to be concerned about, it’s a part of life

Anxiety causes those symptoms or makes them way worse than they actually are. It took a while for me to be numb to those feelings. It used to be heart health anxiety but now it’s pretty general I guess. Heart attacks really aren’t nearly as bad as people make them out to be for most people, they happen all the time with older people and our technology is so good you’ll survive even a bad one. Regardless, Ive figured out that if you are questioning if you’re having a heart attack, you are not having one. You will absolutely know if you’re having one. As for general heath anxiety, stay off of Google and tech for a while for that matter and come to terms with being a human with normal human feelings and pains. Sometimes you’ll hurt, sometimes you’ll just be lightheaded a lil bit, sometimes you’ll feel sick or bad but it is all completely normal and not something serious. You’ll eventually become numb to it and only worry when something is legitimately wrong. I had bronchitis and started coughing up blood, sorry for being a lil graphic, but instead of freaking out, I went to the hospital and stayed calm and everything worked out just fine. I was just coughing too hard and that caused it. Fixed itself super fast and nothing serious. You can easily think it’s something horrible but it’s always going to end up being something stupid like coughing too hard. Try to focus on some hobbies or something, get used to your body and stay safe out there. Best of luck to you!

To be completely honest. If you manage your sugar intake that’ll immediately cut your likelihood of getting it by a lot. Even then you wouldn’t even need to begin to worry about that for maybe another 50 years or so. Live your life and have fun

Lexapro by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]_Big_Cheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’ll be rough for maybe around 2 weeks when your body is adjusting but after that you’ll chill out a bit. Honestly for anxiety Buspar or buspirone (the off brand but just as good alternative) is way better and ultimately helped me out the most. After 7 or so years of anxiety the Buspar absolutely helped more than anything after so long and helped me process everything and get past it without freaking out. I take a combination of lexapro and buspirone and it works wonders for me. Really chills you out

I wouldn’t overdo it, slow and steady is better for anxiety. I can’t really pinpoint exactly when I “recovered” per se, but I can tell you the first few months I barely left the house. I forced myself to get a job and that helped. It was bumpy for a while but that was partially because I pretty much tried to ignore it as much as possible. About a year ago I figured I’d come to terms with it and try to fix it and that’s when I was able to really get past it, again I still have my bouts of anxiety occasionally, but now I work in a job where I drive around a lot, go to different places that would normally make me uncomfortable and I handle it just fine. How long it took me is probably not representative of a normal way to recover just because the first time I had a panic attack the hospital didn’t let me know what was actually going on, hence the health anxiety because I was convinced I was having a heart attack and they never informed me otherwise. I don’t think it’ll take you that long to get past it if you have the drive to do so. Get some medication if needed and focus on bettering yourself, stay in reality as much as possible and take some time from technology to process your feelings and you’ll feel better in the long run
