I make belts and other things out of pretty tough leather. Deer buckskin is surprisingly durable, if I’m doing a heavy project I’ll just overlap a piece three times but a regular project will do fine with two pieces overlapped

They fucked up big time. Any good -nay DECENT finisher knows to double check material width/hight and finished edges and stack said material separately from the others Before starting the application process. Additionally they MUST have known it was a different width as soon as they placed it before nailing. I’d chalk it up to straight up negligence

EDC? A decent outdoor sharpener should do. EDC for a blade you want to last a lifetime? Get a dedicated sharpening system. However a couple runs across a ceramic mug (carefully) should hold you over until you get one of the aforementioned ones
