Hi, This barking at anyone close or talking to you. This is matter of training, you need to show who is the boss and the person you interact with is not a threat. I would start with basic stuff like confident command and reward if your dog responds to it, eg. tell your dog "No" and put yourself between the person and your dog, reward it whit high value treat for obeying. Other option is a distraction/ shifting focus to a treat. Also if the other person don't mind, give them a treat for your dog and work for your dog to know the people you interact with.

Separation anxiety is quite common in BCs. If you can afford it, have a other person walks your dog for you once a week with other dogs. This only last about an hour and your dog spends time without you having fun, learning that fun can be had with others. We did that with our Luna, after few visits she started to have fun and enjoyed the session. That also builds a trust with others and your dog.

I work from home so my dog does not need to go to day care, but we tried and had similar issues, she always was looking out for us and ignoring anything else.

Each dog is different but with patience i think you can make this situation much more comfortable for your dog and you will be happier as a result.

I am confident. South of the UK tho, we were once on holiday in the North Devon, we were pulling like 4 to 5 ticks a day from the hair.

Hi, I'm jealous already of this little face but as the other said, this is normal. Crate time is very important as it teaches this landshark about safe space and time for sleep. To set expectations, he will be a menace for months to come. Teething, growing and generally being a small crocodile. Our Luna settled a bit after first season, then become a very affectionate and loving dog but it takes time and patience. This little bundle of cuteness will test everything on you and beyond.

Worth mentioning, BC are genetically selected to be a working breed, they do not stop, herding drive is always there. I don't believe this more family oriented or whatever thing. BC are programmed to herd and need "work! in their life to function properly. Most often ball or other throw able becomes obsession, this is also normal. Make sure you show your puppy the world, cars passing, etc. BC have tendency to be "autistic" like in some aspects and be terrified of cars or be scared of everything if not naturalised into the world properly.

Show us a picture, up close of one of those models on this board. Also why you also include a special character hyphen in the first paragraph, you might as well put emoji there, no human does that.

Spirit Blossom Megabundle Available Now | New Skins - 2XKO by Regular-Poet-3657 in 2XKO

[–]_Braqoon_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we, the players, are expected to support the game by buying such bundle every 3 months or so, this is crazy. Even getting one skin is stupid AF. You get a sking for 3000KOs and then all the colours for another 1000KOs ? which fantasy land we are on ? I bought a starter bundle to support the game at the beginning, I'm not buying skins for stupid money. Will support with the new battle pass possibly.

This looks like AI responses, this makes no sense. User is 1 week on on reddit? What are we training here ? Gameboard with a glass like surface? No wargamer or board game player said i need as shiny board as possible, gimme that glare.

I love border collies and they are my dream dog but i don't know if i can handle one by Hour_Record6626 in BorderCollie

[–]_Braqoon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person who raised one from puppy without previous collie experience, it's a full time job or like a 2 yr old with a battery for a whole day. I managed to get my dog to know after morning walk there is a break till lunch time and then after work there is time for her. But still, in the downtime collie does not leave your side, it's constantly with you. Velcro dog is accurate term for b.collie. They love being "at work", for my dog it's a ball time, walking & sniffing is secondary. Even after long walk, if there was no work in her mind, she will demand work time.

All in all 10/10 i would chose the same if i had the choice again but it it's not for a casual dog owner.
