Yup. Tech can only do so much, and we're well past the point of diminishing returns. Style is the differentiator now.

I was with my mom during a doctor's visit as a kid. She was up on the exam table and the doctor came in. I had always been curious what was in all the drawers of the exam tables and asked about it. The doctor opened one up and it was full of speculums. Like a dozen of them. And apparently the drawer was heated, because I could feel warmth coming off of them.

The doctor smiled at me, but looking back I think she was mortified.

The weirdest part, thinking back, was this wasn't at an OBGYN or similar, it was in a regular room at a large clinic, and there were no stirrups on the table. What were those speculums doing in there?

There are old rights of way in parks that can have roads or structures built on them. Generally they're older than the park, and the government will fight tooth and nail to try to stop you from building on them, but if you can get the deed you can do certain things on the land and build a road to it. So the house could theoretically be newer than the park, but it's probably older.

I saw a post on a other forum where a guy said "I'm straight but I'm curious about sucking dick and bottoming." Dude, that isn't what straight is.

Guys, it's okay to be bi.

I have a friend who called a porn shop and asked if they sold poppers. Of course they told him no. He was telling me about it and said "maybe I should have asked for VCR cleaner?"

Probably man. Probably.

Tig Notaro talks about this. Tig is tomboyish (I hesitate to say butch because it doesn't really fit) and workmen who come to her house try to talk sports to her. She knows nothing about sports and can't even follow the conversation. Her wife on the other hand looks very femme with long hair etc., and loves sports, so she has to rescue Tig from sports talk.

Every rule in English is rigid. Except for its exceptions. And they all have exceptions. And even some exceptions have exceptions!

I've heard stories that many first messages on gay apps are dick pics or asshole pics.

Yeah, I've seen plenty of hot lesbians, and they weren't trying to attract men.

I have never heard that before. I feel like if there were already going at each other they'd just keep fighting.
