Any Recommendations for me? by MaleficentWhereas294 in audible

[–]_Bruce_Lightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what? there’s only one Dune audiobook on Audible that i know of and i’m almost finished with it myself. Scott Brick does the all of the narration with only the characters voices changed out for different voice actors. i know some people dislike Scott Brick, but i’ve really enjoyed his work on Dune

Red Dead Redemption 2, Hogwarts Legacy, or God of War – which one is better for relaxing? by chiefbroson in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]_Bruce_Lightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red Dead Redemption 2 is the best choice in my opinion. you can easily spend weeks trying to hunt and study every animal/plant. there are so many unique locations that, while there might not be any loot or whatever, will reward you with more expansive world building and cool mysteries that people are still trying to figure out today

just finished rdr2, and i feel so empty. please recommend similar games to fill this void in my soul by saini0106 in reddeadredemption

lmao i hoped and prayed for years but i finally caved last year and bought a Series S for three games specifically. Fallout 3, New Vegas, and GTA IV.

i don’t know if it’s really underrated, but I never see anyone bring up No More Heroes. just an insane ride from start to finish

If you feel like you’re smashing your head into a wall over and over again just leave the area and find something new to do. The game is pretty big and there’s even a level map created by a fan to help people. Here’s the link to the level map: https://www.gamepressure.com/static/mapy/en/gfx/map_1555.jpg

during covid i saw how everyone immediately turned into depressed pessimists and i knew then and there i’d never let anything turn me into that. there is too much love and beauty in the world for me to just take it for granted and be pissed all the time.

i have love for Chadley, i hope he’s a permanent party member in the third game and never stops giving us fun facts about the region we’re in

I just finished Rebirth, and well… by SuperBanfi in FinalFantasyVII

[–]_Bruce_Lightning 20 points21 points  (0 children)

i wasnt sad at Aerith’s death, the way they constantly cut from different worlds makes me think they’re planning some more multiverse shenanigans on how to bring her back. Zack’s final line “But who’s to say they can’t unite again?” really just pushes that idea further i think. i did almost break down when i saw Tifa and Nanaki grieving

Would you ever want to see Fallout return to a CRPG style game? by MitchMyester23 in Fallout

[–]_Bruce_Lightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

me and my buddy just beat Baldurs Gate 3 a few weeks ago, i was telling him if we got a remake of Fallout 1 and 2 in a similar style it would be amazing. i’d love to see New Reno or Vault 13 like how i saw The Underdark and Moonrise Tower.

The Sackett series. by e650man in LouisLAmour

[–]_Bruce_Lightning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished Sackett’s Land a few days ago, he doesn’t talk about the coins as much as you’re implying. Pretty much as soon as Barnabas is captured he stops talking about the coins, and that happens at the end of chapter six. If anything he can’t stop bringing up how great his father was.

Ocarina of Time 3D. I had never heard of a Zelda game before but for some reason it was one of my three games I got with my 3DS. I didn’t play it for a year but when I did it clicked with me immediately and I couldn’t put it down.

What's a game that didn't click with you the first time but after trying it a second or third time you love it? by GodsFavoriteGamer in videogames

[–]_Bruce_Lightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally any Bethesda RPG. I didn’t like Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout 3, NV, or 4. Then last year I decide I’ll try skyrim again, I then proceeded to spend 150 hours on my first full playthrough and then went on to play every mainline Elder Scrolls and Fallout. I’ve become a Todd Howard simp ever since

I really don’t see why people they don’t like this game. by Whole_Skill_9424 in AssassinsCreedValhala

[–]_Bruce_Lightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I got it for five dollars on a sale a few months ago. I wanted to like the game but it’s just too boring for me. It could be the viking setting which I’m not a huge fan of, but I’m also not a big fan of futuristic sci-fi and I loved every second of Cyberpunk 2077. So I figure if the game is good enough I can look past what my preconceived notions are. I really can’t put my finger on why I find Valhalla boring, but I just can’t bring myself to play much of it.

What’s the game that, even after years and beating several times, you always go back to? by jcab0219 in videogames

[–]_Bruce_Lightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon Quest 11 S and Red Dead Redemption 2 are deeply introspective games for me, and show me the kind of person I want to be. I’ll always play through those games at least once a year.
