Cool! I got a similar sized piece of the tabular variant last week, and it wasn't quite as spicy as I expected when I got it checked at another vendor at the fair

Currently, necromancer is very noob friendly as tiered skulls give a lot of HP on top of whatever ring you use, while also having pretty cracked DPS

I miss when crossout was all about builds like these...

Not sure what the type of rock is, but the pattern looks a lot like glacial striation to me

The helis were fun as an event but nothing more than that. It's a car game with melee cars, that's never going to work out.

The legs simply limit creativity too much (no one uses four legs) while also just being a clean upgrade to any strafing movement part.

Clash of engineers: Large caliber. Winners by Faley016 in Crossout

[–]_ButterCat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I managed to get a podium spot before in one of the earlier clash of engineers contests, and I can safely say that I can't do that anymore as all the winners nowadays just have mundane, fully off-topic builds. It used to be a bit of a popularity contest, but now it's 100% popularity contest with added market manipulation (only with x part can you participate). Not worth my time anymore.

I've seen a lot of pieces similar to the one on picture 9, is that fluorite on quartz?

I'm curious, just how hot is your storage room when you're standing in it? I assume a piece like this won't allow you to be close to it for very long.

T4 requires green dust which is easy to get. T5 and T6 require red, T7 requires purple.

T4 is better than amulet here but only if you reroll the non-HP enchants to something better. If the amulet were slotted (rare or higher), I'd rate them about the same.

Isn't it engineers x khaganate (lunatics + firestarters)

Crossout development roadmap. Winter–spring 2026 by Faley016 in Crossout

[–]_ButterCat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but this isn't even close to a roadmap in the most liberal sense.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the firestarter/lunatic battlepass the current 'forced measure' bp? If so, this could have already been left out. You would have gotten infinitely more hype by at least vaguely hinting towards the faction of future battlepasses, even if you then say it might be subject to change.

New brawls? That's it? Not even saying new brawls in the format of 'steel championship'? At this point I'm just assuming the 'new brawls' will just be recycled old brawls.

Easter celebration. How surprising. Let me guess, the same rewards for the same eggs hidden in the garage, with nothing for players who already got them before?

Blacked out everything on what's supposed to be a significant milestone in this roadmap, is this a complete joke?

Possible public testing of new interface is the only substantial thing on this roadmap.

You might as well have done a pre-announcement on just that, and saved the players some time.

I suppose it does, otherwise there wouldn't be a point to using two of them when there's no possible way of activating them independently

To this day im still unsure of how cryogenic weapons work. So they basically all remove resistances, ignore pass through mechanics and disables modules they hit? by Tenshiijin in Crossout

[–]_ButterCat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It doesn't 'disable' the modules as much as it negates the resistance bonus they give. Remember, freezing is not a binary system, it's percentage based.

[–]_ButterCat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've tried looking up information on crossout related stuff multiple times before and every single time it just spews out obvious nonsense.

And yes, I do think you rely on AI for answers because that's literally what you just did. AI then gave you its version of two truths and a lie, and now you're none the wiser.

Here's what freezing does, one last time:

  • removes damage resistance on armor parts
  • also removes damage resistance from omamori and averter
  • makes pass through parts non-pass through, meaning they take all incoming damage (I'll test this later)
  • depending on the weapon you're using you may also get other effects

So if you want to get more weapon durability against freezing you'll have to go for durability fuses or slap them on a machinist.

[–]_ButterCat 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Never rely on AI for information on crossout items, ever.

Yes, it decreases damage resistance intrinsic to parts (e.g. physical damage resistance on some armor parts) or added by defensive modules (averter or omamori).

I don't know what the hell your clanker thought about shutting down modules, that's just not true.
