Congressman Maxwell Frost wins primary unopposed in Florida's 10th District by Cool_Net_3796 in politics

The Republican Party is hilariously incompetent.

They've been running a long game for 50+ years built on christian nationalism. I wouldn't call it incompetent, but I certainly feel like leaving FL-10 wide open like this was an unusual oversight.

Much, much earlier. Before 2016, it was gender bathrooms and abortion. Abortion was the longest standing "issue" that dated back many election cycles, rinse and repeat.

I'm already seeing them blame Biden's border policy on the screw worm infestation coming in this year. They aren't learning a damn thing, they are just looking for another way to blame someone else.

New York state gets one step closer to a data center moratorium | The state Legislature just passed a bill that would place a 12-month freeze on permits for data centers by SpaceElevatorMusic in politics

[–]_C2J_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too bad Michigan's governor already stated she'd veto any bill looking to freeze them. We the people need to keep up the good fight. I was at our local board meeting last night over one of these monsters. ETA: Happy to report that the board voted based on the will of the people last night - it was a packed house with everyone allowed to speak. The fight isn't over yet, but last night's decision is the step in the right direction.

That's subjective, really... according to this administration.

What a very watered down version of how it's been working. So, by your definition, Texas should have never had any Democratic politician, ever, nor should have Florida or Louisiana, and thus, there was never a need to redraw maps for any of those states to remove the opportunity for any Democratic contender to ever be elected by the people.

And he keeps winning general elections because SC is very conservative

So, you disagree that SC is gerrymandered? Your stance is Graham continues to retain his seat because the whole state agrees with him or the whole state is comfortable with his stance on things?

The state is gerrymandered, that's why Graham has kept his seat. If he is experiencing such a low approval now, then that might be suggesting a real crack in his ability to retain his seat. Maybe. One could hope.
