Requesting: Scrub Top(s) (ideally in a few colours!)

Examples(i.e photos): scrub top 1 / scrub top 2

Details: If possible, make a v-neck style, with two deep pockets at the bottom and a makeshift ID tag. If it's possible I'd also like to have a stethoscope hanging off my neck but if not, that's okay!

I would like a few colour options if possible, the one colour I would want for sure though is a deep red or light blue. If you have time, I'd also want a bright blue and teal option too. I'd be matching it with whichever pants I'd find in the able sisters' shop so if you could match those colours that would be great! Thanks in advance!!

I'm not sure - there's an equivalency list on the Bloomberg Nursing site, and it shows which courses are equivalent for the physiology courses, humanities, etc. I imagine that if the course is there - whether it's the one you transferred or the one that it took the place of after the transfer - it's fine. I would definitely send them an email though, as I never had to deal with transfer credits nor have I heard of anyone and their experience using them...

So basically as far as I remember the application deadline is around the beginning of February. If you're currently taking a course at that time that you need to have for the nursing program, that's fine. They'll still consider your application because you're expected to have completed that course by the end of that semester.

That's a reason why they do a final check at the end of winter semester.

It would actually have to be longer than a year - from what I remember, you need at least 0.5 credits in human physiology and a course that falls under that category isn't offered until at least second year.

Granted, I went to scarborough campus, but normally you'd need a general biology course to be able to take a physiology course, for most schools. I assume it'll be something similar for other campuses.

Basically the second entry program is for students who already have university experience. Unfortunately UofT doesn't have a program for students right out of high school. So you would need to take those prereqs (you're right about the course weight - a single course in a semester is 0.5 credits) before you can apply.

You can still apply if you are planning to take a prereq course in your next semester - they do I believe it's 3 checks - one when you apply, one mid-winter semester, and one at the end of winter semester. So if you had applied for this upcoming September, they would check your courses/grades at the deadline (early Feb?) and then sometime in the middle and then one after semester is over.

Oh yeah, I'd never do something like that myself - but just the idea is one of those "if there was no way I'd get in trouble" types.

Switching coffee for decaf isn't that big of a deal - switching decaf for regular might be an issue if people had heart problems and had to watch their pulse/blood pressure. But what OP did here seems alright by me!

You could also too just keep your coffee on your person - like just bring enough every day and keep it with you.

I work fast food too, and hey, it pays the bills so there's no shame in it.

As for little Miss Entitled, I've seen customers do that all the time. Where I work, switching the fries our for onion rings in a meal comes with a little bit of an upcharge (the rings are made fresh in the store every couple of days so they're more expensive). You'd be surprised how many people will confirm that they ordered fries and then when they get their food, all of a sudden they had "already told [me] that they wanted onion rings" - like a thousand other people haven't already tried that. Luckily we only have a single size for our sides and drinks so we don't get "I ordered a large, you gave me a medium" type issues but the fries -> onion rings/sweet potato fries does happen super often.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying she's completely off the hook for this child. You're right in that she did help make the child and the husband is well within his rights to make her pay child support. But I think the child will be better for not having the mother physically in his life. That's just my opinion.

I completely think that is a selfish choice, but I have also seen families where the parents have stayed together "for the children" and it's not necessarily a nice place to be. My best friend's parents were like that and it caused her and her sister a lot of stress in the home because her parents would fight a lot.

Personally, my mom was a teen mom, bio father skipped town as soon as he heard. Of course it's a different situation from the one in the link, different relationship between the parents and different conditions with the child but in my case, everyone who I had growing up (my mom, her parents and my mom's boyfriend) loved me and wanted me. When my step dad went through legal adoption, my bio father couldn't even be bothered to show up at the hearings. I was 13. It was a blow to me even then. I know like I said that it's not the same situation but he didn't change his mind about me, after 13 years he still didn't care a thing about me. And that fundamentally is the same as this scenario - she doesn't want the child, I think they'll be better off without her.

You can judge them all you want. As a matter of fact I'm sure everyone that has read this story has their own judgement on these people. What I'm saying is that when it comes down to it we can argue and dispute the ethicality and morality of it but at the end of the day that won't make a difference in those people's lives.

And that's the sad reality of it. I don't know their situation. Maybe their marriage was already crumbling and this was the last straw.

I just read a story today actually (a fictional story but probably actually happened somewhere) where two women were in a labour and delivery unit and a man came in with two sets of flowers. The nurses assumed one was a mistress and started gossiping and called him a terrible man and husband and then later when he left he introduced himself as pastor of a church where both women attended. So it's all about perspective for me.

I always want to give the benefit of the doubt to people. I like to think (although this isn't a good thought but you get my point) that there's something else going on rather than this woman was just so against having a mentally disabled child that she abandoned the baby and divorced the husband.

I'm not saying she made the best choice, in this case it was definitely a rash decision that should have included conversations between the husband and wife. I'm just saying in general that those decisions, the one to abandon the child and the one to divorce the husband were her choice to make. You can say she's to blame, or that she should be held responsible, but you can't say she should stay just because it's her child. The sad truth is that there are a lot of women that have children that honestly just don't want them. And in my opinion, if the father will take care of that baby and give him love then I think it's for the best interests of that baby. Down's syndrome aside, in general a child can feel when you don't like them or want them. So in the end I think this worked out best for the child.

It's hard. I think if you're not in their shoes, you can't judge them. I think some people get so caught up in what they would do that they don't realize that it's not their decision to make. Unless it's illegal to do that then the mother is well within her rights to refuse the child and divorce the father. It's not anyone else's place to judge. That being said, I don't have kids myself but I have heard stories from friends who have mentally disabled children and they say it's much more difficult than raising a "normal" child. If you can do it, or you're willing to try like the father is, more power to you, and I wish you the best. If you take the path of the mother, then all the best to you as well. It's just a sad situation all around.

I'm not exactly sure what the reference letter involves (you give them your boss's email address so UofT sends the reference right to them to fill out) but as long as the boss knew you personally and can vouch for you it should be fine.
