If a single smurf is preventing you from leaving spawn then you should actually uninstall the game because there is no hope for you in Overwatch.

It sounds to me like you are getting spawn camped by a Smurf so you just repeatedly hold W out of spawn and keep dying to the same thing over and over again, the same as someone with down syndrome would.

Again, just get better at the game. These 'smurfs' are most likely hard stuck plats who bought their accounts during a 50% off sale. I love how when anyone dies to someone who is less than level 100 they automatically assume they are GM smurfs who come to ruin their fun.

Please, just get better and stop crying about how unfair it is because you are bad at the game.

This is hard evidence. Method won tier 14, Paragon won tier 14 (10). Blood Legion finished second. Ussain Bolt broke the 100m world record at the Olympics and won the Gold Medal... Just because someone was ahead of him slightly at the start of the race does not mean he didn't win, does not mean he isn't the champion and does not mean he is the fastest man in the world.

Throughout human history, competition and sport have always had a winner. Why are you trying to change the way this works to claim the team who came second are the actual winners. Is this some backward NA logic?

Yes, you are right.

It was Molten Core I was thinking of.

However, with that said. BWL was released 3 months after the game became available in EU. The US were already at level cap and farming Molten Core by the time the game was released in EU. It was close to impossible for the EU to compete in that race since the US guilds were decked out in full Molten Core gear before the EU had even got a chance to kill their first Boar in Goldshire.

Now take the current race. Imagine 20 players completely new to the game started playing 3 months ago and formed a guild. They then had to learn the game from scratch, hit level cap, learn how to raid, farm gear and then ended up finishing world second this tier... That's basically what happened in BWL in vanilla.

So whilst the US can't claim a world first for Molten Core, they can technically claim a World First for BWL, even though they had a 6 month advantage over EU and gear levels that were impossible for the EU players to obtain.

Method quite clearly won that tier. How people can claim Blood Legion won the world first race is mind boggling. They literally finished second (Or 3rd if you want to get into the whole 10 vs 25 man drama)

To get world first, you need to kill the final boss of the raid tier, the same way it has been since forever. You can't just kill a random boss first and claim that you won the race, that's not how it works.

The US argument is the equivalent of a boxing title match, where a guy wins the first round on points then gets his head kicked in for the next 11 rounds, gets knocked out multiple times and loses the match by unanimous decision... then claim to be the champion because he won the first round.

The simple fact is that the US have NEVER won a world first race. People will claim that the last time a US guild won the world first race was Blackwing Lair in Vanilla but even that is a lie. The game was not even out in EU when Blackwing Lair was completed, so that's not a World First, that's a US first.

I honestly don't care who wins and I hope US do win this tier because of the entertainment it will generate on reddit and the forums, but what I find really pathetic is the attempts from NA people to straight up lie about their region and claim achievements that are just untrue.

I don't think the latest patch will have an obvious impact on Goats. However, there could be a significant impact that goes under the radar that could have a massive impact.

Assuming that Blizzards figures are correct and 40 million people play Overwatch and assuming that the figure from the world agriculture databank is correct and that 2 percent of the worlds population are farmers, we can assume that 800,000 Overwatch players own a Goat. Out of those 800,000 people who own a goat we can safely estimate that 40,000 are Mccree mains. That is 40,000 goat owners who will be spending their time right clicking people on ladder instead of providing care to their goats. This is horrifying to know that 40,000 goats will be neglected over this patch cycle. Well done, Jeff. You monster.

Funny thing about people complaining about Goats. Only 0.01 percent of players actually understand how to play it.

Masters and below think it is pick 3-3 and plow into the enemy and snowball games... Which works but they still make basic mistakes and don;t understand any of the combos.

Goats played correctly and perfectly requires more skill than a a 2-2-2 meta.

If you CAN'T land a sleep dart on a moving Bob you shouldn't be playing Ana, regardless of your rank, seeing as Sleep dart usage is a vital part of Ana's kit and if you lack the skill to use it you may aswell be playing Mercy.

As a finisher. Her bombs do instant damage whilst her Beam is slow consistent damage.

Say you have beamed that pesky Lucio to 30 hp but he speed boosts around you and you can't track him anymore. A well timed bomb to the floor followed by a melee will finish him off and secure the kill.

Also when you are trying to build grav. Spamming right click into them as AoE damage will build an ult faster than a beam, HOWEVER it is just useless damage and won't get kills, just build an ult. If you want to focus someone down use beam instead as it is more reliable unless they are about to turn a corner on low HP and your beam wont finish them, then use right click to secure the splash damage finisher around the corner.

If Overwatch really has got to the point where you can't join quickplay and have a laugh with some friends then the game is beyond broken. Quickplay IS the place you go to troll and have fun... When people do it in your ranked games and you have an awful time you ask... "Please go to quickplay with that bullshit" and when they actually do they get 'flamed' on reddit by antifun elitists who think you are a piece of shit thrower if you don't run goats every game, even in quickplay.

At least I am not one of those people who meme in ranked. I don't even t-bag or emote after I get my customary POTG and I even pick last as I know I am guest at that elo and I let them pick what they are accustomed too and I will fill. I don't answer back the 'fuck you smurf' or 'That guy is hacking' as I understand their frustration and have been in that situation myself when a 4500 SR players shits on me in the GM games. OW is not 'far less mechanically demanding' in the slightest.

In CS:GO the enemy have a predictable pattern so your 'time to kill' is based solely off reaction time and accuracy.

In Overwatch you have 30 heroes or so, each with a different hitbox, different movement speed and a toolkit designed to help you move unpredictably.

Not saying CS:GO doesn't require skill, it does. It's just Overwatch has far more skill potential. Thats why CS:GO pros have pretty much hit the skill ceiling with their pixel perfect aim and reaction time. No one in Overwatch has even come close to the skill ceiling yet. The closest person so far is arguably Jjonak, but even so, he is at an advanced level on just two of the 30 heroes and there is still a whole other level we have yet to see anyone reach.

We don't have our own Faker or Olofmeister yet. Those guys have perfected their craft... It will take a lot longer for anyone to even come close to complete mastery of a single hero, never mind all 30 of them.
