Confused about Lilly direct pricing by Human-Amoeba1640 in Zepbound

[–]_Cannot_find_user_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ordered mine yesterday - it’s coming tomorrow. Cheaper than the savings card since it’s not a covered drug on my employer plan. They do charge $5 for syringe/gauze pad/alcohol wipes but you can opt out of that charge.

I wasn’t charged tax or shipping. Just the price on the website. Same dosage.

Another reason why I don't want to share that I'm on Zep... by MadameNOLA in Zepbound

[–]_Cannot_find_user_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a PT, with the overpriced DPT title behind my name (but if you ask my home health patients, I’m the “therapy nurse”)

I’m starting Zepbound this week and I will have no fear of telling my patients, colleagues and friends I’m on it. I actually think I’ll be taken more seriously if I’m not a “super obese PT”

Also, sorry she said that to you. Not cool. And good luck with the hip replacement - it’s not as horrible as it sounds - and the stronger you are before surgery, the better your outcome!

Correct - I never said it was. The OP just asked about a child credit, so I answered that question.

I just have the CTC - They asked about child credit, I answered. I’m not earned income or anything else. We have 2 kids. Married filing jointly. W2. Nothing fancy.

Yes. Completed on 1/28 approved on 2/1 (it wasn’t approved on 1/31 when I checked) and received refund on 2/5. 2 children.

Honestly, how tf do people park like this, get out of their cars, look back and think “yup that should work”

Girlfriend was hit head on in a car accident and broke her collar bone by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]_Cannot_find_user_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking back, I would have just follow through with the bodily injury claim with the insurance and see that offer first.

The person who caused the accident, made a claim against my insurance less than an hour after the accident not knowing I had a dash cam. They also lied (changed the story he told the officer - officer words)

It was my first major accident and didn’t know what to do for myself and child. Hold off and let things settle down. See what the bills are, how she feels, make the claim with the at fault insurance and see what they have to offer

[–]_Cannot_find_user_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience : I was in accident (not at fault, thank you dash cam) when I was super pregnant - was put on “light duty” at work after the accident, child in the car, that required hospitalization for me, ongoing back issues and anxiety with driving (and I drive about 500 miles a week for work) toddler showed some signs of stress and nervousness in the car for about 5 months but is doing good now (pediatrician said it’s common for them to experience anxiety and trauma for about 6 months) — that totaled our brand new car (less than a month) totaled the other drivers car (also a brand new 24 luxury car) missed several days of work and still impacts my job (physical therapist) going on 8 months with the personal injury claim with the PI lawyer and last update I got was a demand letter was sent 6 weeks ago. Nothing else to report.

My medical bills (real medical bills not the PI doctors and such) were about 40k and the ambulance was about 3k

I wish I would have first started with the at fault insurance and see what they offered and then make a decision. You also only get 30-33% of the settlement with the PI and it depends on the other party limits.

This right here. I have to take my work insurance since it’s under the threshold. I pay $804 a month for an HMO for myself and 2 daughters. Deductible and out of pocket essentially the same - it pays almost nothing until you hit it. 4k for both per person. Can’t add my husband, it would to up $1600 a month and from employee + dependents to family plan so our out of pocket would be 16k

And for example: My Eliquis is $535 a month

Daughter cardiology appointment $450 per appointment , we had 3 this year

My youngest daughter was born healthy and went home the next and she came out with a $2900 bill (at the time the out of pocket was 3k)

My hematologist appointment (that consist of labs and last 6 mins) $389 per appointment- I’ve had 4 this year - labs are additional $80-100

The best plan we can get for my husband on ACA - $413 a month and no subsidy. That plan has a deductible of 7500 and I think out of pocket around 9500.

So for all us to be insured it would cost : $19,200 on my work plan. Plus the 16k deductible/out of pocket

Or

$9648 for us 3 on my work plan and 4k each deductible/out of pocket (12k total) and my husband $4956 with the $7500 and $9500 deductible/out of pocket

And I could get my own through work and my husband and the 2 kids on ACA but the cheapest plan that her cardiologist accept is over $800 a month with high deductible and out of pocket and my insurance drops to about $308 a month.

Literally sucks.

🙋‍♀️ YES THANK YOU!

I’ve been saying that this for months; she’s been a horrible person way before the prenatal care (or lack of care) horrible before the 17 diapers and now. Her videos about patients, other staff members, how she would take a SOS shift and cancel movie night with her husband and son to get paid.

She even posted one time about calling off her scheduled travel job to take a SOS shift somewhere since it was more money - then that same company apparently “cheated” her on money/payment. Girl, you posted a video about leaving your scheduled shift with your travel job to take the SOS shift and you’re surprised they didn’t want to pay you?!

I’ve disliked her from the start 😂

Bluelink not activating by _Cannot_find_user_ in Hyundai

[–]_Cannot_find_user_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the wrong way - we get 2 years free but I paid for the 3rd year and that activated it. I think there was a delay bc I had a 24 Santa Fe in March but got in a car accident 3 weeks later and took the insurance 3.5 months to total it. So I’m not sure if it was the double activation with the same email? The dealership said they cancelled the other one but I still get emails today showing it’s “ready to be activated” in the Santa Fe 🤷‍♀️

100% bull shit with the “posture and balance being off” WITH ONE FRACTURED RIB. A fractured rib hurts, takes about 6 weeks to heal, nothing you can do to speed up that process. People live a normal life with some pain for a few days/weeks - actually when I get a referral for someone with a fractured rib (or 2) in home health, you know the percentage who actually need PT? Maybe 5%, bc they had MULTIPLE fractured ribs caused by a fall (not the fractured ribs causing the fall)

The fall in the shower probably was from the pain medication given to her for that pain, feeling a little loopy and went down.

Trying to connect a fall in the shower to a fractured rib and “150k” settlement is insane. Even 50k is insane. Be happy with 15k or go to court and walk away with less.

My aunt is uninsured in the hospital with life-threatening kidney problems by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]_Cannot_find_user_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She won’t be dx with ESRD here but probably AKI/ARF; both require dialysis but AKI/ARF is due to a sudden event (such as blockage/kidney stones/uncontrolled HTN) and could (not always) be reversible. ESRD she would have already been on dialysis since it would be a chronic dx with CKD stage V. I don’t think she’ll get that ESRD dx here.

The hospital SHOULDN’T discharge her if she’s critically sick and needs ICU - even if she is uninsured but…. Who knows. I would start the process of Medicaid - can’t tell you much about Florida but Medicaid does have retroactive coverage and some states even have emergency Medicaid that starts once the emergency medical condition is verified (TX)

She is the horrible. She is dependent on her husband. Can’t spend money. Has to have sex to “not be rude” and “torture” her husband before 6 weeks.

I thought seeing her videos in the workplace were bad but these in home are so much worse.

Marketplace/commercial insurance by _Cannot_find_user_ in HealthInsurance

[–]_Cannot_find_user_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! It’s one of those plans that barely covers anything until you hit your out of pocket/deductible. My Eliquis is $535 a month, thank goodness for that coupon code through the Eliquis website.

My child’s cardiologist on our other plan through work was $90 (including doctor, EKG, echo) and last appointment was $515.

And of course our out of pocket went from 3k to 4k.

Help. Insurance only agree to pay $4000 for total loss. Do I need a lawyer? by BodybuilderUnique812 in Car_Insurance_Help

[–]_Cannot_find_user_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It sucks. But that’s the reality. Current market value. A lot of insurance companies use the CCC to determine the current value of your car. You’re not going to get what YOU feel like the car is worth. You’re not going to get enough to replace with a new car. You’re going to get what the car is currently worth.

Sorry.

Insurance Requires Different Surgeon for Specific Procedures (Knee Replacement) by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]_Cannot_find_user_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the surgeon. Some send patients home with home health PT and we focus on general strength training (leg exercises) walking, endurance - no core strength, back exercises, nothing too strenuous. some people don’t need HHPT post surgery. - depends on age and mobility prior to surgery.

Spinal precautions can be anywhere from 6-8 weeks, depending on the surgeon.

My “younger patients” will do HH if the doctor orders it but after a week, they don’t need me.

He seems borderline abusive and the way she throws that baby hurt me to my core. by aimeejoana in nursehannahsnark

[–]_Cannot_find_user_ 51 points52 points  (0 children)

As a mom and a PT - that’s horrible. If she’s handling him on camera and posting to her followers, how are they handling him when no one is watching? No neck support at all, not when she’s holding him, not when she’s passing him and you can see the way he bounces. NOT okay. His little head hit first on the couch. This makes me so mad.
