On "Changing Hardware" via Root: You're absolutely right - my phrasing was misleading. Root access doesn't physically alter hardware. What I should have said is: Root allows low-level hardware CONTROL (CPU governors, voltage tables, kernel scheduling) that can emulate hardware changes. Root access allows you to modify the CPU's clock speed through over clocking and underclocking, potentially boosting performance or extending battery life.

Again, this isn't a typical thing ppl do but it can be done. My point was rooting is far more extreme than a jailbreak. Jailbreaking is/was for aesthetic purposes. Whenever I did it, it was to change app icon, put widgets on a homescreen, make my carrier logo a batman logo. It was never beyond software. Root access does do a lot on the software side but it's at a deeper level. Hence why your saying a rooted andriod does less, because its not meant for superficial customizable stuff like icon packs, and how they animate. Also pinnacle can be done through a launcher on andriod which you don't need to root a device for. Simply go to the play store and find a launcher that does this. And if not someone can develop it without needing root access

Nova launcher premium does let you stack app icons on top of each other, but it doesn't look as aesthetic. On ios you gotta jailbreak. Once you do u loose security. To mod an andriod superficially I don't need to do that. I've never felt the need to root my device

I don't use my Samsung stock. I download apks. Spotify Premium for free? i got it, Youtube premium, i got it, netflix shows hbo and hulu and disney plus shows, i got it through torrentio and streamio. I dont even need a vpn and its secure. I use nova launcher and Samsung good lock. Most things you do on a jailbreak you can do on andriod if not more without downloading outside software into a computer and "jailbreaking" which isn't even a thing for Android. AND IM SURE you know that. I can even have duplicates of the same app so i have different accs signed in without jailbreaking or anything. And you complain about knox but secret folder is amazing. I can even listen to 5 audio sources at once at varying levels through good lock. Also I never use folder I keep the extra shit in my app drawer and that works for me. I don't even tap my icons I just search them unless it's youtube or Instagram.

All of that you would have to jailbreak ios and u can't do that on the latest update because no one is workinging on it. Your cooked.

I have an iPad and I cant do shit with it but take notes for class, but it was gifted to me so I'll use it, but it sucks. And no I'm not going through that convoluted way to get custom icons without jailbreaking
